  1. As I posted on my status, I went onto Nipissing this evening,

drove through mountains of slush in the pouring rain and used 40$ of gas to get to Goose Islands..

We set up some lines and waited... first fish was a Smalleye and went back... so were the second and third ...hmmm

    Then a Perch and another...hmmm

    Then a little Ling.

    finally a good hit..17.5" Walleye..

    and then another few Smalleyes...

needless to say I came home empty handed and soaking wet but had fun nonetheless.

Total count...8 Walleye , 2 Perch and a Ling in about 2.5 hours

Besides, I needed an escape from my wife ,for when she got home to find a 2037.66$ HYDRO BILL/62 days of usage. :stretcher: on the kitchen table . :wallbash: :wallbash:

  3. I work in a city run Long Term Care facility, ( and have for 29 years), not just seniors live there but anyone that needs constant care . We have many people in their 20s and 30s , that live there. I take offence that you think that they are not treated with Respect and Dignaty.

I worked in LTC as well as a front line RPN

( I now work for Community Living), I know that the staff

(in most cases) treat all residents with Dignity and Respect..

I think that my first post is directed to our Government.

  4. Jails and Nursing Homes

Here's the way it should be:

Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes.

This would correct two things in one motion:

Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.

They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical

    Treatment, wheel chairs, etc.

They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they would be helped instantly... If they fell or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.

A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.

All meals and snacks would be brought to them.

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education...and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally recognized entertainment artists.

Simple clothing - i.e. Shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free, upon request.

There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.

Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.

They would receive daily phone calls.

There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the political Parties would fight for their rights and protection..

The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families from abuse or neglect.

    As for the criminals:

    They would receive cold food.

They would be left alone and unsupervised.

They would receive showers once a week.

They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000 per month.

They would have no hope of ever getting out.

    "Sounds like justice to me!"

  5. I seen this many a time in hospitals and nursing homes...

2Oz ethyl per/os Q2H during waking hours on a RX med sheet.

Meaning.. 2 ounces of (Brandy,Whiskey,Tequilla,Vodka,Gin etc..) every 2 hours taken orally during waking hours.

So long as provided by family or self.. and must be in a plastic bottle.

It's mostly prescribed to terminal alcoholics during their stay at the hospice or LTC facility.

*That's like a 26'er or more a day... but I'm glad that the province isn't paying for it.

  7. Okay, I've seen many boats with multiple Outboards and have also have been in a few... I never really questioned why.. I don't have much experience in bigger boats 22+' other than having piloted and docked couple. I know that OPP and Police boats are required to have 2 in case one breaks down.

... Now, I've also seen a lot of smaller ones like Craig_Ritchie recently posted.

I can see the advantage in a larger boat 22+' Cuddy and the whole shebang having 2x250 or more for lower end torque for some outtadaholitiveness ;) to get to plane.

I'm trying to make myself understand

Say ..If I were to have a 17' Duck Boat and I wanted to have 60HP on the back I wouldn't go buy 2x30's...but I would if I'd have a 20' Barge right?

    Let's say that I have a fully decked out 17.5 Princecraft just like Roy's with a 150 E-Tec.

#1 will top speed with 2 engines be greater than with 1 ?

#2 If the prop pitches are the same top speed should be the same?

    #3 fuel advantage or disadvantage?

#4 would 2x75's perform as well as a 150, or better?

I don't see myself putting 2x15 on the back of my 14' to replace my 30.

It got me thinking is all. :dunno:

    Thanks gang!
