  1. totally legal if the towing vehicle ( even vans and SUV) if they have black plates , first trailer must have tandem axles with a tongue or electric brake

, driver must be able to see the second trailer , total length not to exceed 23M.

I was through this a few summers ago with the MTO and the OPP , I was driving my full size Expedition.

Blue plates , no fine , just a warning .

    I still have blue plates , I just don't tow a train anymore. .

  2. if it's strictly for cranking , go ahead and use a regular automotive battery.. if you have any electronics hooked up to it disregard the automotive cranker, get a DP battery.. DUAL PURPOSE , will run electronics all day and still have a reserve of 600 or more CCAs to start your outboard with confidence ... Kirkland at Costco is a VERY good bang for the buck.

  3. I wasn't gonna cook for myself , Sue doesn't really like Trout ,I'm not really crazy 'bout it either , It's not bad at all on a Cedar Plank or with a good coating in oil ,

but.. T-Bone and Brisket were on the menu for Friday and Saturday :) had I caught a Walleye , it probably would've went back as well. :)

  4. It's my favorite spot period , the last 10 k are brutal and take about 1 1/2 hrs with a 4x4 .. almost guaranteed a good spot to camp , we lucked out and got the best one , there were 3 more camped a out 200 M away ... We had 1/2 the lake to ourselves :)

  5. For the first time in 13 years my wife and I had the chance to go camping without the kids or the dogs ,we've been going to Gull Lake (hwy 805) with the kids for the past 9 yrs, but this was our well overdue trip alone.

It started off on Friday morning , we left home at 9 Am and made the 90k trek up Hwy 805 to the Obabika turn off, in about and hour and 15 minutes , stopped to check the tie downs and prepare for the next bonejarring 10k into Gull 1 h 30 minutes.
