Well guys its fishable few groups out tonight me the nut even went for a Sled ride on the River ...as allways play safe out there ...if you dont have a Spud Bar make one they are the best way to check ice infront of you ...stop in the store for more info on were to stay away from out there ...
-
As you all know a week ago the Grand froze ...
We headed out last night to check thickness and aside from a couple of open areas, and clear ice spots we are looking at 3-4 inches of good ice.
Marking fish with lots of follows in 12-14 feet of water. Buck Shot with three minnows caught both fish today...
If you are heading out on the river, please stop into the shop and I will give you more detailed info... BE SAFE... there are a few sketchy spots out there , even in the marina! Walk the shore line out and stay off spots that look like this!
Remember, if you are unsure of the ice... be safe! Fish with a friend or let us know at the shop you are heading out!
Don't forget the floater suits and ice picks.

This Summer has been a difficult one to say the least! I have spent the last eight weeks off due to surgery and was thrilled to get back out side, fishing and hunting.
The weekend started Friday in Ridgeway hunting for geese... The day after opening season they were already flying high and hesitant in landing amoung our decoys, however we did manage two in the couple of hours that we stayed out.
My First Goose of the Season
Steve and Zoe, Always great hunting partners
On Saturday Steve was Running his 3rd Annual Walleye Hunters Tournament... with the way fishing has been on Lake Erie this year the turnout was good, by mid morning we were dealing with a six foot chop, and no fish... Steve decided to head into shallow water where we managed to pick up a couple of fish putting us third in the Tournament...
We placed third with two fish in Fishmasters Walleye Hunters Tournament on Saturday
First Fish
Second Fish
The weekend was a great one! Thank you so much to Steve for including me not only Friday for Hunting but Saturday as part of his team...
Cheers,
jen ( Bernadette)
Thanks for joining me Bernadette it was a pleasure fishing and hunting with you again after a long 8 weeks of pain ...much more to come as the weeks go on

Great pics Steve. That last pic shows a walleye with a large gash (in your left hand). Any idea what might have caused that?
Not to sure on the gash might have been the knife in the cooler
