When they leave the deep water they are heading in to feed ...guys off the west pier last night were doing well for perch ...3 days ago my family got a limit of perch outa the boat ...it's like salmon fishing hit or miss day to day ...if the Perch don't want to bite hite the river for Walleye they are on fire right now ...

lots of people have repeated that superstition about bananas, I for one do not believe in them
and I use to take bananas on board with me, as I ate a banana every single day for years..it never changed my luck one way or the other

Not many charters will put you on a day of big fish. Most are content with quantity not quality. Looks like Fishmaster can do both!
I don't like catching small fish lol...and those Scottys are tough pulled 2 10lb balls up from 250 last week ...

It was a nice flat day on the water forsure and with a Great Ladie that loves to learn ...hey bern what ways out lol... motor is all prime now just waiting for the coupler today and then back in it goes ...and off hunting Kings i will go ...

This term usually refers to a diving disc such as a Dipsy Diver on a rod/reel with copper wire line and usually a flasher with a fly is used as the actual "lure". It's a deadly combo as divers run out and away form the boat and you feel every headshake with that copper wire line.
Nice report Fishmaster - care to share any more details ie what depth of water you were fishing and in what general area of the lake?
Ive been fishing from Port Weller to the Niagara Bar drop off in 180 to 220 fow ...Spin Doctors Twinkie flys have been taken most of the Fish ...also Moon Shine spoons have been Kick Ass ...Use dark colors Limes and Blacks ...going to be the year for big Kings im not eeven sure i wana head back to Lake Erie this year ...Lake Ont has me pumped this year I need a 40 lber for the Wall...

whats the most effective way to catch them at dunnville steve? white twister tails or live minnows?
Yes Twisters for sure Yum white or Limecore ...if you use minnows set up with a slip float small split shot and a nice shinner you good to go about 3 ft down ....

Well it was a beauty afternoon yesterday out on the Lake for me and Bernadette ..left the dock around 11am headed out to deep water wasnt long we had the rods popen ...landed 6 for 9 in 4 hours biggest 24lbs all on Moonshine spoons 10 ft behind the cannon balls ...over 180 to 220fow

Welll it was a bumpy day on the pond yesterday but the fish were bitting 1 Coho and the lakers were hungry here are a couple pics ...little to bumpy for taken pictures ...fished the bar for the end of the trip managed some nice lakers 28fow 17 down on the riggers with Mic Stinger did the best water temp was 52 ..I will be out all next week searching for Kings ...dam i love Lake Ontario

Got out Saturday for the 1st time and won the Dunnville Hunters & Anglers derby with a 21.50 King and was leading the St Kitts derby for the 1st day ...looks like its going to be a good season for Kings ...my boat will be in Port Weller before May 1st Yahoo bye Kitty Cats got the Salmon Fever now ...

Well I had Long Shank from Nuatrik Charters join me yesterday for some good old Cat fishing on the Grand ..it was a beauty day to be on the water the fishing was not fast and furious but the laughs and good chats made for a awesome day ...must have had 40 bites but only a few good fish landed ..Thanks for joining me Werner ...Fishmaster

Well after a couple stressfull weeks the boat is back in Lake Ontario Action ...took the boat over last night for a test run and to see if the fishes were around and as allways they are there ended up going 4 for 7 on Kings and Bows ...seem the Stealhead action is picked up with lots of Kings mixed in ...best depth last night was 140 fow riggers down 35 to 50 40 back with Stingers and Wire Dipsy 200 back on a 1 setting with a Fly Doctor combo...more reports coming soon..
