Great report keep us posted, hopefully it's still on after My Treatments are done & I start feeling better, really want to make it down there this spring, how late do they run end of May or June

Hard to say how long the run of Big Cats will last this spring March 13 is the soonest ive ever caught them ...im guessing till end of April this spring ...hope you get feeling better wish ya the Best

You will know as soon as you get there. Sometimes the wave can get to a foot, but that is about it. If to wavy go across the bridge to BBQ Island, pay for parking and drive out to the point. You could launch and stay close enogh to be out of the wind. Be sure to wear your PFD. Cold , Cold water.

Well this is what everyone has been waiting for ...Yes the Cats are ON ;D ...spent all morning out Chasing Suckers then Cleaning them up for the Brine ...then there was still enough time to launch the boat and hit the water for a eve fish ...we head out around 6 pm and after 1 move we found the fish ...water was 42 deg ...

Dont depend on that link the readings are from way up river and the 37 temp was taken thursday with my prob.I will be out allday tommrow will let ya know whats going on .my guess is they are starting .Fishmaster

Well me and Justin hit the BOQ for 2 days fishing was tough with the full moon but managed a few nice fish...lots of open water all over up there but lots of good areas to fish safe ice ..if you heading up shoot me a PM were to fish ...and thanks to the people that Pmed me were to fish ...all though we didnt fish those areas all the info was great . ;D

We fished the Lower Grand River last year on Dec 20th for Walleye ...hope this season is cold and better fishing ...and no smelt around

Lake Erie the best ive seen in years getting lots of Big Walleye 75 to 80 fow small dipsy 150 back on a 2 setting

Lots of perch out of the mouth of the Grand River now also ...just gota have a North Wind and they are getting limits ...if the lake is rough fish the river for Walleye bite was good for us yesterday after getting blown off the lake ...

Thats right rain bring in the Big Fat Cats one over 24lbs weighed in today ...And it wasn't to bad of a day for me and my clients today going 7 for 13 in 4 hours ...if you got good rain gear don't sit around waiting for sunndy days get out and slam the big cats Rian or Shine they will EAT ...wet day for pics but heres a couple ...I will be on the water the next 4 Days straight should have a full report on the Grand River Cats this weekend ...Fishmaster

Fishing is picking up daily with the warmer temps ...been catching 6 to 10 in my 6 hour trips ...this weekend should be on fire...

The water in the river is 38F the best temps for cats is 70F to89F the cats are there but they are not going to travel far to get bait.That being said if you get your bait near the fish they will eat Last year at this time the water in the river was 52 F a big difference we need a week of warm weather or warm rains to get the cat moving.
If you wait for 70 to 89F you will be waiting into july ...Omg Steve if thats the case why you taken clients out allready ...

Well guys and gals the Cat season has started ...fished the rocks out front of the store today and can you say FISH-ON all fish caught on fresh brined cut bait 3 oz slip sinker with 4/0 and 5/0 circle hooks ....Derby Starts Friday April 1st till May 8th

Just got off the Ice seems to be 8 to 10" forsure lost ice but going very cold tonight ....reason for Cancle Coast Gaurd and GRCA ...never again will I listen to them ..

The Ice Breaker can only go up river about a 1/4 mile so the 14" of ice outfront of here will not be touched ...

Very nice ...but tell your chum waders are bad in a boat you sink like a rock in cold water...lost a freind the same way
