  1. I would recommend White River Air, they are only 3.5 hours north of Sault Ste. Marie, ON. They fly a Turbine Otter and a Beaver. They have remote lakes that include walleye, Pike , Brook Trout and Lake Trout. They have split trips between 2 lakes. Some of the cabins have hot and cold running showers and flush toilets and some that are rustic. They also have rested lakes that my sit up to 10 years without being fished. If you want to be on your own private lake with top of the line service and great fishing I would definitely go again with White River Air.
  2. You might consider training on VIA Rail out of Sudbury to some of the remote lakes and lodges available without having to do all the driving. I would recommend Mar Mac Lodge on Esnagi Lake, this lake is 27 miles long and has no road access and has some of the best Pike and Walleye fishing in Ontario. This lodge was featured this last weekend on the show Canadian Sportfishing. The boats are 18 foot cedar strips with 20 horse 4 strokes, you can also walk to another lake for trophy Brook Trout.
  3. Mar Mac Lodge on Esnagi Lake is accessable by VIA railfrom Sudbury and has Waleye Pike Perch Whitefish Brook Trout and Lake trout. Esnagi Lake is 27 miles long and is completely remote. At the south end of the lake by the railroad tracks there is a trail that is not used by motorized vehicles ever. The Grouse hunting is phenomenal on this trail, and the fishing is fantastic. In September they offer some great discounts and the owners are Candian and have been on the lake for over 50 years. Hope this helps
  4. One lodge that we really love, and has a great reputation is Mar Mac Lodge on Esnagi Lake. The Walleye fishing on this lake is beyond reproach and the Pike fishing is fantastic as well. You can also fish for Perch and Whitefish and can access a lake via a short walk that has trophy brook trout and Lake Trout Esnagi Lake is 27 miles long and the boats Mar Mac Lodge uses are 18 foot cedar strips with 20 Horse power Yamaha and Mercury 4 stroke. This lake is remote but can not only be accessed byair but by VIA Rail from Sudbury. They offer reduced rates for Canadians coming in that direction and as well as up to $300.00 discount for spring fishing when the Pike and the trout are at there best. You may have seen them on Canadian Sportfishing, Fish'n Canada, Fish TV and Going Fishing. There are also 2 outposts that you can get to from the train, they are at the Northend of the lake. The family that owns this also owns Lodge Eighty Eight and White River Air and have been in business since 1959. good luck
