During my college years, I was a summer student working at Ford, and a paying non member of the CAW (summer students could not become union members, but had to pay dues)

I can't tell you how many times I was told to slow down because "when you go back to school, they're gonna expect me to do as much work as you and well, I'm just not prepared to due that".

Ive heard this quote verbatim from two friends of mine. EXACT situation, except replace the "Ford" with "GM".

They had a group of union guys waiting at the time clock when they punched out, they were threatened to slow things down. I should end my stories there, i got lots that would make ya sick.

Thanks Boys.............i should be spending the day relaxed and eating my face off. And of course thankin the big guy for everything ive got. And friday off as well means a day on the water........or at least thats the plan right now

Painting, and Drywalling...no problem.

Heck even the mudding is kinda fun, but sanding....this would be the part to trade LOL!

Im about to gut the kitchen soon, and DO look forward to demolition, drywall, muddin, havin fun at this point, and then that day comes.....when you realize the can of worms youve opened...........SANDING. You pretend it isnt a step, you ignore it, you divert it from your mind cuz your having so much fun with the instant gratification of all the other steps. And reality sets in

Having said that, most people lay their initial coat of mud on way too heavy to try and save coats and time. Less mud but more coats equals less sanding. Slingin the mud is easy, watching it dry is easier......ill do that a couple times over sanding my elbows off anyday

PromiseLand on south bay was GREAT. Didnt rent boats as i towed my own, but the cottages were outstanding........plus if you dont want to venture out of the bay, the waters are well protected from any large chop should you get a windy weekend. We found plenty of fish off the main lake when we were there. Mainly slow trolling harnesses. Alot of slot fish but enough out of the slot for a fish fry at weeks end. Its under new ownership since i was there so i cant say alot about the operation, but the camp itself was outstanding

Ive worked very hard toward this goal, alot of blood sweat and tears went into it, my mom told me if i put my mind to it,..... i can accomplish anything. And she was right.....ive finally made it to 1,000 posts.
