  1. We have shown the world that Canada is beautiful and the people living here are great.

I think that was the consensus far before these 2010 olympics. Seriously.......I'd say that most had that impression of your country already. Friendly people, (with the exception of habs fans at an out of town game) and beautiful lakes and camping/fishing destinations

  2. yes...contact and play it in mud

    Bikinis too ?

These girls are AMAZING athletes and have excelled at something that they were told their whole lives they probably couldnt excel in or achieve....worked their whole lives toward this moment. Yet in the end, are still being told they'd be better off doing it half naked in mud.

Try raising a girl and you'll understand the frustration i have listening to this stuff constantly.

I applaud them for much more than just winning that game, but for the road they took to make it that far. Its alot harder than any road a man has traveled to get where they are.

  3. WARNING though.....the ice is getting pretty bad out there.

Unless you know what you're doing or go with a guide, I HIGHLY recommend staying off it.

Some spots have great ice, while 10 ft away there's hardly any!

There's tons of open water out there now.

    Always put safety first!

Guide or no guide, Know what your doing or not know what your doing..........Bad ice is Bad ice and when its 10 ft from good ice.........i wouldnt take my chances out there. When it goes from good to bad in a matter of steps.......no amount of guiding experience is going to convince me to walk on that crap shoot.

  4. Dunkin Donuts with no transfats

I thought all the athletes just eat Mcdonalds while in Vancouver???

They ARE "the official restaurant of the 2010 olympics"

(that drives me nuts........cant you just see all the highly conditioned speedskaters scarfing up chicken nuggets between races for fuel)

  5. Yes we do, while at my nephews practice last night, they had your game on in the lobby.

No-one was watching the kids practice, we were all watching Can/Rus and 95% of us were rooting for Canada. Mostly because if we dont get the gold.......Canada would be our second choice.

U.S./CAN would be a spectacular gold medal game........No matter who wins.

  6. Up 4-0 and you don't let a player take his own penalty shot? I don't care what the International rules are. You just ripped the heart out of one of your players. I can't even begin to express how much I think that was a terrible decision by Babcock.

I looked at my uncle , he at me, and just said in unison.......Seriously?!?!

Then Golden boy missed the penalty shot on top of it?? Coach has some apologizing to do if you ask me.

  7. Canada out played them big time, besides the penalties, bad goals, it was Canadas game.

Except, if, besides, ......We would have won if the U.S. didnt is all that amounts to lol

You guys will definitely bring it on and i predict win gold over the U.S. Im sure theres a bitter taste that will motivate them to the gold now. But i sure hope the Canadian team doesnt think like the above quote........or itll be much of the same.

I agree, the extra game for canada is an advantage......to meld the team a little further and get a feel for how to position things for the final run. Good luck (and i mean that)

  8. Hockey is the fourth most popular sport in the US (maybe 5th behind fishing).

Not in my house lol.........you could dump the Buffalo Bills any day of the week from this town and i wouldnt bat an eyelash. Ridding of my hockey team would have me in counseling.

As far as Miller.......he is playing like himself in this tournament, he was slipping (a little) with the rest of his NHL team before the Olympic "break". He's risen back to match the play of his USA team in front of him and its really good to see. Thriving on the effort put on in front of him has him back where he belongs. I hope he can bring a gold back to us and motivate his buffalo sabres into better efforts going forward. He shows up EVERY game and i cant say the same for the rest of his sabres. Someone should put the "C" on his chest when he returns and give him the role of whip cracker in the locker room for these sabres. They dont seem to appreciate who they have between the pipes some nights and better learn to put in a consistant effort in front of him. Go sabres........go USA.

Like miller said at the end of the game........were gonna see Canada again, and they are going to be mad!! lol Looking forward to another great game for the medal

  9. Try those 'float pill' looking things behind the Colorado blade. I usually use my harness behind a walker type sinker, and I like the worm very buoyant and float above the bottom. Works well for less than 1.5 mph trolling or drifting. Adjust your weights accordingly.

    loop----3 foot lead----[single bead][Colorado blade][single bead][float pill][single bead][#4 octopus hook] --2"--[#4 octopus hook]

Glittery Polkadotted Float Pills Mmmmm Mmm
