Reflecting on summer (hoping there is still a lot of time before snow kicks in) I realized how nice it was to be able to get away to the cottage a few times Pre pandemic I travelled a lot for work . I always found the idea of "cottaging" to be very Ontario centric. Probing further I realized that most did some form of "cottaging" - it just wasn't called that My ode to the cottage is up https://www.northernjacks.com/post/weekend-oasis Thanks for reading Andrew

As mentioned in an earlier post Over the past 20 years I have been a part of and in some cases organized a bunch of different trips - mainly fishing (some golfing but that's off topic) Cabin rental in the Kawarthas, Boat in lodge, backcountry camping and I even lucked out and got taken on a deluxe fly in lodge adventure Pretty sure most of my trips are on this site as a trip report to boot. My most recent blog posts lays out some of the pros/cons IMO for the different types of trips I have done www.northernjacks.com Cheers Andrew

Over the last few years I have really gotten a kick out of writing trip reports. I certainly don't think of myself as a writer but after some encouragement I have taken the time to build out my own blog. Full disclosure its more of an outdoor blog than a fishing blog (although will definitely slant towards fishing) Wanted to share with this community as this site is where I first got the writing big so to speak when we were researching our first trip many years ago The goal is to average between 1 to 2 posts per week Also feel free to request content here or pm me Site is northernjacks.com Cheers Andrew aka Gordy
