  1. My maytag dryer died today. Was 27 years old. The washing machine on the other hand is 8 years old, and needs a new transmission, also a maytag. Going to go and look for a new pair. Not familiar with washers/dryers. Whats the general consensus on top/front load? Anyone have a recommendation on a machine/brand? Would like to try to stay under $2000 if possible.

    Thanks

  2. How accurate are the navionics maps? Im heading there this weekend. My friends cottage is there, but still sort of worried as they normally dont head out to far to fish. Any areas worth concentrating on the lake, prob fish for largies and pike.

    Thanks guys

  3. Looking for a fishing net to use for bass. Normally dont use one, but have decided to get one for when trebles are involved. Any suggestions? Not sure whether to get a rubber or mesh net. Frabill has a mesh net coated which claims it stops tangling. The conversation series i believe.

  4. How did you do? Seen your truck there, i left on friday. Was slower than last year. Landed a few ski's, biggest being 36", all small guys. Managed to land two 20.5" smallies ~5lbs minutes from each other which was pretty awesome. Surprisingly the fish were pretty chunky, lots of bass in the 17-18" all over stormy.

  5. Its all hype. A flouro lead is only necessary in super clear / shallow applications. If I'm fishing the Grand or any other SW ontario river, straight braid. Less knots and the fish dont mind at all.

The best tied knot will give you XX percent of your lines rated breaking strength. XX will always be a value less than 100. Each knot you add to your setup increases the chance of that XX value being lower.

Have you seen how easily 10lb braid breaks near a rock? Ill take my chances and use a fluoro lead for abrasion.

  6. Looking to buy a new combo for my dad. Had a budget of 150 in mind. His pflueger president is pretty rough after a few years. He's a pretty basic fisherman, likes his jig and grub. I'm not to familiar with the spinning reels out now. The daiwa lexa and shimano Sahara fe felt pretty good. Any opinions?

    Thanks

  7. Good speeds, for some reason i thought the pitch would be too high. Same boat but i have the 115 opti, and i use an aluminum 4 blade quicksilver nemesis but 17 pitch, myself in the boat ill do 46/47 at 5400. With 3 people and loaded 43. Mine planes out really quick compared to the black max and doesnt blow out when steering at high speed.

Your transducer board, is it screwed in?
