  1. Will do. Hope my plan works out okay lol. I'm gonna scale it, take out guts and bloodline, chop off fins head and tail. Stuff with saltines, onion, garlic and a lemon, add a touch of water, double tinfoil wrap and bake at 375 for 30-35. How's that sound? I hope it works out

  3. I dont wanna post these pics to bum anyone out. I'm just doing it to be sentimental in my own way
  4. A lot of tears. Kids are tucked in with her. I just feel horrible. We took a few pics just for memory sake, but man this sucks. I just feel so sad, so guilty. Took me an hour to snap a pic without crying thanks you guys for understanding. Means the world to us.
  5. . Cooking her favorite meal, set up a bed in the kiddos room. Let her enjoy her life and feel that love.
  6. yeah i followed that thread, as well as many others here going though the same thing. Always heartbreaking. To me, its hard to lose that part of the family because much like children, our dogs are just so pure. Nothing but love and companionship, protection and fun. When all is said in done, she'll be burried at our favorite spot on the river. Where she ate plenty of fish, protected us from wolves, and swam during the hot summer days. I really wanna get a few more pics with her, but can't hold back the tears
  7. thanks lew, and others. Yeah 2 years ago we said goodbye to our boxer that made 12 amazing years. Just plain sucks
  8. But she has gotten nippy in her age too, she has her moments. But last few weeks her legs are just giving out on her. So painful to watch. Amazing companion out in the wild too. She sure loves to gish
  9. she sure is. No bullies messing with our kids. She's super loyal to our family. She clings to my 3 year old daughter with that look on her face" this is my girl, you don't wanna find out what happens if you hurt her".
  10. After 14 strong years, she is getting put down. She fought hard this winter and i was so proud of her, but age has just taken its toll on her old legs:( not looking forward to this one bit. She's an amazing pup, and such a huge part of the family. Ughh, just had to vent a lil
  11. Hahaha. Hey thats cool, fort frances bass championship is a pretty big event around here. Always a good time. Rainy lake is awesome, i love fishing it. NW bay is about a 35 minute drive from my house, so we fish there quite often. Even up to the cascades or porters inlet. Big lake, lotsa big fish
  12. awesome! Thats a great memory to share
  13. its a long trip, but your more then welcome for suppah some time;)
  14. yeah we really lucked out. The spot we wanted to fish(holds rediculous big walleye) was only 6-700 yards away. I was gonna bring my gear sled but buddy said naw we dont need it lol. Thats how it always happens haha. I wasnt gonna walk that in snow and slush with auger in hand and all our gear, cause we only had 4 hours to fish. Ah well, we'll hit that spot another day. And thanks, meal turned out awesome:)simple but tasty

  18. I'm heading back there soon. I'm curious about those big pike as well.
  19. One awesome thing that i seen twice today was BIG pike swoop in from just under the ice to 20 fow to hammer fish i was jigging up! On one hand it sucked, on the other hand it was awesome to see. Those pike were hammering 18" walleye on my video game screen, so cool. Wish i had the gopro through ice to tape it. Oh well maybe next time
  20. A few more
  21. Oops sorry for the double pic. Here's another
  22. Well i had to go get rid of that 2oz walleye that landed me a derby win, lol. So me and a great bud headed out on to rainy lake. Day started with getting the truck stuck. A few phone calls and we got out okay. But change of game plans as the drifts wouldn't allow us to drive out. So we check navionics and change the game plan. Drill ten holes 400 yards offshore on what we agree looks like promising grounds. Payed off big time! First fish 5 mins in, 17.5" keeper. We marked fish like crazy, big ones too! We alternated holes and continued to absolutely hammer walleye from 16.5" to 26". Missed a few at the hole but luckily dove in to catch them haha. All fish but one came on buckshot jigging spoons in orange/yellow tipped with frozen shiners. One fish came on a deadsticked jig. Amazing day, great time! I'm waiting for him to send my pics, but here are a few in the meantime:)my keeps for the day!
