  1. Limey, life is certainly imitating art in that photo/painting!

Yeah no doubt! I think thats my favorite picture ever posted on here!

And living rural in NW ontario seems to be quite the difference then southern ontario, at least in some aspects.

    Building here is fairly cheap.

We live in the bush but just currently renting a 3 bedroom house, fully furnished, nice storage shack(20x15), and rent is 600, comes to about 825 with gas and hydro. We are on about 9 acres of land

15 minutes from hospital and grocery store.

Bigger town and walmart 40 mins away same with walmart CT etc.

I love it in the bush. Campfires almost everynight, fish whenever you want, no nosey neighbours etc

  2. I myself have had a couple of friends who are addicts themselves. One has been sober for over 2 years now, and the other still uses. This doesnt make them bad people. i know for a fact that both of them had horrible childhoods and this is most likely the reason they abuse substances.

I dont try to provide excuses for them to do what they do, but this doesnt make them horrible people that dont deserve to be cared about.

I cant pretend to know what it feels like to be them, all i can do is continue to be a good influence and show them that i appreciate them and love them as friends, their journey is theres to take, you simply must not enable them and reject any form of use in your presence.

And thats how ya do it?

    Good on ya

  3. Good of you to bring this up mb2, i recently had a very good friend die while in ecuador under suspicious circumstances, i wont say more than that. He was not an opiate user but you never can trust anything be it pot or opiates or even prescription pills in some instances.

As for fishermans comment i have come to ignore his general negativity as it never seems he has anything positive to say.

    Stay safe out there people.

Sorry to hear Gallie. Happens WAY TOO OFTEN!

  4. Not judging anyone. I just want to bring to your attention that fake oxycontin has entered the drug ring, containing caffeine/fentynl and some very strong opiate.

Ive seen pics on little green round pills stamped with 80.

Ijust got word that two of my old highschool friends have taken this drug.

    Both are dead.

Again im not judging anyone. Please be aware of this.

If you have an addict in the family, a friend, or yourself use, PLEASE be aware of this.

You have a life to live, family to love.

Dont die over some bullcrap, please

  5. Just to provide a little insight to what añglers know/do.

Years ago on my homebody of water, a man drowned, unforunately.

MNR/OPP contacted a couple of us local anglers that know the water to assist in locating the body.

Divers couldnt find it due to the complicated currents.

But we did, almost immediatley we knew where that body would go

Anyhow, both sides make valid points. But the MNR should def include anglers for there knowledge and passion of the waterbodies they fish.

I know the MNR here include us where they can(which is mostly about poaching and new species) and I for one appluad them for that?

  6.

I don't know yet. I haven't opened it up yet, but based on the rods I see I would have to say no. Besides, I don't think they can make ME a STAND UP top. I'm bigger than your average bear.

Not an Ally, but SWMBO said I had to get an "Opa" boat. Suitable for grandkids. *sigh*

    Lol, was it oma?
