Brian, in honour of u showing us how to weave bacon and proving you can wrap a ? around a ?, when I saw this sticker I thought of you.

God only knows? we were all trying to do the weave?

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

In this case of brunch for the kiddos the chicken came first(from the bbq last night)

Open faced bbq chicken and marble cheese omelettes with refried potatoes and garlic.

 

I use a 10L spring water jug from the grocery store as an ice block.

I refill them with about 8L of tap water and throw in the freezer after I have finished the drinking the spring water.

It's just like a giant freezer pack in the cooler and doesn't fill it with water.

I only buy cubes so I have some to drop in me rum!!!

Ive done the same bill but usually a lil smaller bottle.

I use frozen bottles at work too to keep things cold.

Cheap and effective and reusable

Yes Rick, natural trout , not clipped, home smoked , damn good, if I say so myself would rate this batch beside smoked sockeye, rick if u don't believe me come up here and try it, native recipe from Cambell River, good guys , been good friends with my older brother for over 35 years, that's how I got the native candy recipe, out of respect, did not happen over night and not through a computer, just saying, one to one and a few handshakes.

Absolute steal on chicken (12 pieces for $14)

Just some oil and seasoning, bit of paprika and on the grill.

Lots left over for me and the dogs?

My daughter made some fried spuds with garlic and onion(shes still learning, they were good but heavy on the oil, but hey shes 13 lol)

A simple saute of green beans and asparagus.

And gma made some fresh peach/pecan tarts? omg so good

Brined chicken breasts,bacon wrapped peppers stuffed with cream cheese,fingerling potatoes & carrots with olive oil & basil (from garden),cucumber & onion salad,(also from garden).

Damn I love summer cooking on the grill

Dood, my daughter just registered for highschool this morning, not looking forward to that at all.

Ivy is our new siberian, just got her at the beginning of summer. Shes an awesome dog!!!

Really nice day today so I grabbed some minners and decided to go sit at the beach for a shore fish this evening.

Not much for action, a decent chunky lil bass and a few sauger landed in about two hours. Pretty boring but hey, nothing wrong with that?

Caught the bass quick, first few casts. Short fish, maybe 17" but thick as my bloated head!

Scenery was beautiful, very relaxing.

Odd thing, we've had no mayfly hatch this year then BOOM! Everywhere!!!! Latest hatch I remember... ( pic doesnt do it justice, they are thick with juvies)

Agreed with Bill 100%. As far as I can tell, we haven't reached the level of crime here in Ontario, that would warrant carrying a concealed weapon.
