  1. weibe reminds me so much of me and my fishing buds lol. Yes we are dorky as hell as well. I totally get their humour, it may not be for everyone.. but i know for a fact that id get along with those guys insanely well.

Also...netminder, it sort of his his manitoba accent...however he throws it on thick on purpose and I personally find it hilarious.

Taro's poem at the end of the last day had me in tears lol.

The dock perching was also epic, that totally reminded me of something that me and the buddies would do ahahha. One of my favourite parts of the whole series.

Please whatever you do, do not cast doubt on the "reality" aspect of this show...the premise of "uncut angling" is that they dont cut stuff to just make themselves look good...the classic catch the biggest fish of the entire show at the end of the show when its clearly dawn on the first day of fishing.

In regards to the (bass regulation part) Team Shimano clearly talk about catching their bass on the american side because they arent in season in canada yet...

In regards to your comment about the temperature, the guys wardrobe completely changes from the beginning of the show vs the end...why? well according to environment canada, on Saturday the high was 29 degrees in toronto, and then a low pressure system moved through (which it did on the show) and the high temperature on Sunday was 11 with a low of 7...so yes you would be wearing a full suit cause that would feel damn cold after it being almost 30 degrees the day before.

This is absolutely by far the best fishing show I have ever watched, most impressive in the last episode is how they read the water to find fish. The fishing geeks bloody drove around in a tinner, found some good water, anchored up and then proceeded to basically catch absolutely everything using a worm and a hook. Shows just how good these guys are.

Thats how you river fish! It teaches you alot!

If you would get along with these guys then we'd have a blast together!!!

This show has been awesome! Cant wait to see what 7 brings!!!

  2. new captain can only be one player.

no other player comes closer to providing the leadership qualities Uncle Leo does.

    it only make sense.

If leo gets the C ill shed tears of joy?

Hes one heck of a player and role model.

100mph everygame and a great work ethic to boot!

  3. With this trade the Leafs now have $21 M to burn before hitting the cap.

And by getting rid of Dion and Phil's contracts have $85 M available over the terms of those 2 contracts.

That's a lot of available $$$$$ to spend on any free agents that may come up on July 1st. :whistling:

    Yessir!!!!

  4. Survival suits are one piece as well. Your floater will get you out of the water, but then you will be totally soaked. Have you ever jumped in the water wearing your floater suit? You should, you may be surprised by its performance.

I jump in the pool with my survival suit on and I bob like a cork. If everything is zipped up and sinched tight I hardly even get wet.

    S.

    Yes!

And everyone should test their suits in a pool to see how they work, and how to manuever in them as well as it can be a little odd

And survival suit for the win hands down

  5.

I have been trying to get a guy at work to get his son to come out. Always too cold so he says. Would rather play video games. I will get him out when the ice is safe, by hook or by crook. The father is very behind it.

I took cliff up on the offer as I needed one for the kiddies to come out in comfort. I will keep my deal. Family s hit happens.

My other two grandchildren didnt get out unless I took them. When we did get out, it was fun. I am thier fishing source.

Ugh I hear you. So many kids on the rez I would take out and theyd just have a blast!

My brother in law is like that(video gaming) bullcrap.

Drives me nuts. I mean I love him and he my brother but come on man! Only time his son has been fishing is with me and he just has a blast, hardwater or softwater.

Grinds my gears ya know? I dont like the fair but our kids do, so I take them. Usually end up having a blast lol but you get my point.

This one guy I know calls me all the time to take his son fishing. Hes 14 and its cool with me cause hes a good lil angler but his dad has a boat and lives 500 yards from the river. Wth man go take your kid fishing and make some memories!

    End rant

  6. I just did one last night that I got from face book and it turned out fantastic.

    Skinless boneless chicken breasts

    Season with salt and pepper

about 3 to 4 Tbsp of ranch dressing on each

    wrap with bacon

sprinkle with shredded cheese (they used chedar but I used Swiss)

Bake in the oven at 400°F for 40 minutes

(this part I didn't get from face book)

I served it with twice baked stuffed potatoes (added bacon bits, chives, shredded chedar cheese and some ranch dressing to the potatoe before baking the second time @ 400°F for 30 minutes) (just happened to be the right temp. for the chicken)

Threw some carrots and mandarin orange pieces into a skillet and made a glaze with the juices and a table spoon of sugar, simmered just until tender (about 5 minutes).

We had company over for dinner and it was a big hit!

    Sounds awesome Cliff!!!

A simple thing to try for those that enjoy chicken breast.

First, get the good stuff, no frozen walmart crap.

    Season with salt and pepper.

Add two innus and gunn beers(i prefer the bourbon) to a skillet, heat on about 4 or 5 till a light boil. Add chicken breasts and about 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Turn down the heat to about 2 and cover with lid or tinfoil until cooked through.

Super simple, lotsa flavour and just a nice, moist breast

Of course you can alter this many ways too.

But that beer sure keeps the chicken moist and adds just the right amount of flavour that you dont need a ton of seasoning

  7.

2 1/2 cups dry Navy Beans (soaked over night)

    1/2 lb diced bacon

    2 sliced onions

    3/4 cup molasses

    1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup Bigugli's "Plain Nasty" Salsa (thanks Bruce)

    1/4 bottle of beer

    1/4 cup ketchup

    1/4 cup Worcestershire

    1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

    1 bay leaf

1 tablespoon Keens dry mustard powder

1/2 teaspoon of salt and fresh cracked black pepper

Ok thats sick(in a good way)

    Now I can smell it!

Served on some fresh crappie would be delightful
