Didn't have any luck on the yearly fishin trip I take with some buddies. We were at the south end of Nip on the first weekend of Feb staying in the bungalows put out by Anglers Haven. WE got 3 perch over the 4 days we were there. I was surprised because last year we did very well. I did notice that they had their setup closer to shore this time as to last year more centered on the lake. We did get to see a medevac chopper land out in front of our bungalow this time. There was a snowmobile accident and the fella was airlifted to North Bay hospital for hip surgery. That was the word around camp anyway! . Hopefully next year we have better luck.

Im sure the outfitter you are staying with (if u are staying with 1) will be able to give you the lowdown before you even head out to your hut! Thats been my experiences anyway. Ive had my fair share of beer out on the ice and have never been ticketed or warned for that matter. Politeness and Responsibility goes a long way!

Just curious as to what folks are using and having luck on. I always take a bunch of jigs and lures out and always resort back to minnows. Comin up from Toronto to Nippissing on the 3rd of feb. and am not sure if I should stop to get larger minnows here or just use what is given with our bungalow package there.

I am going up to Nippissing next week and was just wondering if anyone has been out in the Anglers Haven area? Thats where we are staying and did have success there last year.
