1 Thing I really liked about the stratos is the live well, it is divided but the divider some out to make it a much larger live well. I looked at a Triton and Nitro and the could not remove the divider. Is this rare for bass boats to be able to remove this?

Anyone know any good sites to check out boats in the USA?

It has a 115 Yamaha on the back. I looking into something from the states, sounds difficult to me. Where would I even look to find something in the states?

I haven't been on here in a LONG time, gee haven't fished in a long time! Anyways, I am looking at upgrading my boat. I found a 2004 Stratos 17.5ft figgin LOADED with elecs. HDS 10 at console, with structure scan, Elite 7 hdi in front, Hydra wave, power pole. Its like my dream package!

Does anyone have any experience with stratos boats?

My concern with the boat is that this is a tournament fishermans boat. Did he beat it like a red haired step child? 1 of the cleats have some cracking around it? Is it more than just gel coat cracking? I don't know! It has a few scratches here and there.

Please someone talk me out of spending $16000!!!

When I was much younger, a few friends and I would go to this small canoe in lake in ontario. Well this 1 weekend we were there camping fighing and of course we were young and just of age so we were driking a lot! We were on a very small isolated camp site about 100 feet from the waters edge where our canoe was tied up to a large rock. The first night went off without a hitch and the next moring we were feeling kinda crappy as we were hung over. Needless to say the camp ground didn't get cleaned as there were way more important things to drink that day. As night fell and my buddy had passed out early for the second night I decided it was time to eat. As I am by the camp fire with my flashlight cooking my can of zoodles on an open fire, I can here noise in the bush to my right. I shinned the flashlight but saw nothing. Again I here it kinda behind me. look...nothing. Now I here it to my left, I very quickly shined my high powered 50million candlke power light to my right again, and there it is! The biggest grey wolf I have ever seen sitting in the middle of my spot light staring at me. As i looked all around I saw the pack that had circled around me. My drunk thoughts at the time is they are waiting until I eat to eat ME! I run to the tent screaming at my sleeping friend Jon "DUDE WERE DEAD MEAT! THE COYOTES ARE GOING TO GET US!" To my surprise he grumbles at me and says to to bed potter your crazy! I spent the next hour widdling a stick to a point with my finger nails watching this pack completly clean out all the food from out site including my can of zoodles!

I will never forget this night for the rest of my life! To this day Jon an I joke about my bravery that night!

Thanks guys. I got some research to do! I hope I can make this happen. I will bring back lots of pics! I know I will need a state fishing licence that I can buy online. I cant find anything regarding taking my boat. I dont think I need any thing for it but a guy at work told me I will need to get a boating licences for some states.? Anybody hear of this?

$50.00 for non-residents to fish? Pros must have a big wallet, full of fishing licences.

I am trying to plan a trip with the boat down south. Does anyone have any idea where i can find soft water and bass? We know we are looking at about an 8 hr drive. This will be my first trip doing something like this and need some help.

Yep, the perch like them. I cleaned a few on the weekend and they were full of them. The smallmouth have all the food they could ever want in that lake now. I was there on monday and was amazed at how clear the water was!

I had s similar problem on a family boat that was brand new. That boat had a grease nipple on the steering cable at the motor. A couple pumps of grease and that took care of that.

it seems that there was a lack of lubrication at the factory, when I asked the marina, thats what they told me to do

The weather network claims it will be out of the north/ northwest. I am going to launch in cooks bay and wanted to fish the islands. Wont know till we try i guess. Worst case, we fish near shore for the buckets!

It was a little slow in the morn! We fished lilly pads with frogs, had a few misses but nothing boated. Then we tried to fish senkos for a bit as well. Got a few smaller bass. Then I switched to my little known secret weapon the chatter bait. Had a few little ones hook up. Lost a monster that hit, jumped, then came straight at me like a frieght train!

How much wind will keep a 17 ft bass boat off of simcoe? They are calling for 15-20 km winds tomorrow. I am a little nervous about going tomorrow

Good theory Garry2rs! I run braid on everything when fishing for bass. On my crank and spinnerbailt I run 20lbs on casting reels with a 15lbs floero leader about 18 inches long. On my finess setups I run 15lbs braid with 10lbs flouro leaders. I do a uni to uni kow to connect or sometimes a blood knot. I dont know why I do it I just do! lol

I am heading to simcoe tomorrow morning, can I still launch at gilfod beach? I want to fish cooks bay but I am unsure of where to launch. I dont mind paying but I remember years ago we launched at the end of hwy 89 I think. Form the map it looks like gilford beach and it was free.

I just ran into the same prob. Marine tells me to use one plug, open up the engine and there is a diff plug number in it. I used the ones that the marina calls for. I have not run it yet I will let you know how it runs tonight!
