Effective immediately, the 2020 Toronto Sportsmen's Show (March 18-22), which was set to take place at The International Centre in Mississauga, will not be opening.
In the 73-year history of the Toronto Sportsmen's Show, this is the first time it has had to suspend the event. This action is being taken based on the recommendations made by the provincial Chief Medical Officer of Health and Peel Public Health to help reduce possible risk regarding the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Attendees who have already purchased tickets will be notified by email.
TSS staff will contact exhibitors as soon as possible with more information.

Great thread, I use an offset barrel smoker and have no issue in cold weather.

What the heck was Joe Runabout thinking???? Seems like a mechanical malfunction such as steering would be far too coincidental.
He said he was distracted. It was noon, he wasn't impaired and we have no cell service. He must have dropped something.

Got another one. On Monday I was pre-fishing for a small tournament this weekend on my cottage lake and this 18 foot I/O bowrider goes by me at full plane on his way through a gap and into the next lake. I can no longer see the boat but heard a loud bang noise. I thought he may have been too close to the gap and hit rocks. I go to have a look and here he has missed the gap by 200 metres and his boat is wedged between 2 trees in the bush. It was raining so I was pretty much the only one around. I go over and he is climbing out of the rear of the boat with a pretty big gash in his head. The guy is lucky the windshield stopped him from being ejected from the boat.

1 hour ago, Terry said:Later on Tuesday night, O’Leary told TMZ, “Late Saturday night I was a passenger in a boat that had a tragic collision with another craft that had no navigation lights on and then fled the scene of the accident. I am fully cooperating with authorities.”“Out of respect for the families who have lost loved ones and to fully support the ongoing investigation, I feel it is inappropriate to make further comments at this time. My thoughts are with all the families affected.”
Very sorry that a life was lost. I think his quote would have been more compassionate if he left out the first sentence and started with "Out of respect..."

Yes, as Terry noted in the US the shipping is N/C but to Canada, there is a shipping charge. I do believe that Terry said that it ended up being $88.12 CDN when all was said & done!
My total was $88.56 CA, still a good deal. Thanks for sharing Dave.

They will do partial weeks if they have openings. Fishing is pretty good and there is always the option to do a 1-day fly-in on one of the back lakes:

Well maybe you could offer an answer to whatever you think the question is then....sheds and septic systems do have something to do with permits so not sure what your beef is.
I have no beef, but I think the best answer to the question was given in #22 by bigbuck
-
Well if that were the case, the OP wouldn't likely be asking the question in the first place. The OBC still applies regardless even in unorganized townships where permits are not required. You may not need a permit but you are still required to follow the OBC.
The question was about a septic system and shed, it had nothing to do with permits.
-
If you make your shed over over 10 square metres (107 sq. ft.) you are required by the OBC to get a building permit (your 9x13 is just over this). If you go to get a permit, you will have to show your site plan with at least 5m setback from any structure to your tile bed which sounds like a show stopper.
Not if you are in an unorganized township.

you are going to get gouged anywhere you stop at that corner. if it's your only choice, it's your only choice but i'd look at other options mentioned already
Isn't that the truth. We now stop at the Magnetewan First Nations, there is a new Esso and Tim Hortons. Even the price of gas at the shell is 10 to 15 cents a litre higher then Shawanaga, Magnetewan and the Parry Sound Service Centre.

My son and I have been to North Toronto swap all of the three previous years. Sad to say we may not make it this year. Anyway, lots of everything there and good deals to boot. Get there as early as you can.

Our Labradoodle just turned 12 and she has been the best dog we have ever owned. Her mother was a Chocolate Lab and her dad a Standard Poodle. She is loyal, safe around kids, loves the water and we think she's pretty smart for a dog. We have bells on our doors and she rings them when she wants out. Would be very hard to get another dog after this one. She is definitely now showing her age and I know that she likely doesn't have too many good years left. No illnesses to treat.

Very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed looking at the photos she took.

Can't help with the question but welcome back.
Boat Launches Open for Fishing - Petition
in General Discussion

Here is my personal situation. I have a water access cottage but also own a drive-to lot that has a wet slip boathouse. Inside the boathouse I have a boat hoisted up and sitting on beams overtop the water for winter storage. It would be no problem to put my boat in the water without the aid of a public or private boat ramp. So technically I could launch my boat without breaking the order.
However, my opinion is they should be making all waterways closed off, not just the access to them but keep all boats off the waterways. Yes there will be some extenuating circumstances but stop all pleasure craft use. Currently our first responders are so taxed in these unsettling times. I don't think it's the best use of our first responders if they now have to keep an eye on the waterways and potentially rescue or enforce the social distancing orders on the water. The closure is until April 13. Yeah, it can and likely will be extended but, if we look at the big picture, we all need to sacrifice and our first responders need all the help they can get right now to focus on the true issue at hand.
