I agree with sending the rod directly to St. Croix. I had two rods that my dog chewed to disaster. They have a no question asked warranty return (for a fee, which I do not remember). The bonus was they also offered upgrade opportunity, you basically paid the difference if you wanted a higher end rod, it did not even need to be the same rod. I upgraded from a two priemer's to a Bass Tournament and a Musky Tournament rod.
Hi Guys,
Travelling up to Marten River area next week. I always enjoy using leeches for smallmouth and walleye. I am wondering how is the availablity or should I be looking prior to getting to camp. If so, any suggestions along Highway 11.
When are you up there. I will be at Red Cedar Lake Camp on August 25. You staying at the same camp or somewhere else. I will have the blue Triton, stop by and say Hi.

Send me an IM. I have been fishing Musky there for the last 7 years straight. Between the gravel road trip and launch is a pain, but once you are there. It is beautiful. You just need to be careful running around.
Get a depth finder and go slow. The money you spend on a depth finder will more than pay for itself in banged up props. There really is nothing marked on the Lower French, I have been going there for the last 6 years. Beautiful area but when you think you are safe you are not.

I will be on the Lower French for a week starting on Thanksgiving weekend. Can't wait myself. I as well am curious on what the water level will be and what the weather will be like.

Hi Guys,
I will be at Red Cedar Lake Camp starting August 28. Gerry, where do you stay at? Do you have a cottage? Keep an eye out for a blue metallic Triton Walleye boat, that will be me. I am hoping the 3 feet down does not cause too many problems. I remember some areas out to the fishing grounds are only 3 feet deep . Later.
