  1. Ive been looking everywhere for fishing maps/ nautical maps of the parry sound/pointe au baril part of georgian bay.... Anyone know where I can find any? Thanks!
  2. Really just a Gar? I went home and researched it and most sources on the internet say Gar Pike...? Must be a nickname that everyone just uses.
  3. That's pretty nuts. I figured I was going to be seeing these massive squids haha
  4. You may be right... All I can remember him telling me was mill lake.
  5. I know a friend who went to a resort there. He said there was a ton of bass, some pike, but he didn't manage to catch any muskie.
  6. Hard to say, about 15-30 feet
  7. Can anybody recommend some deep water pike lures?
  8. Yeah but I would just buy a more sensitive rod for the trip and use both. Worst case i could just return the ugly stick.
  9. Hmm that's a good point, any ideas on a rod that would be strong but a bit more sensitive?
  10. Well we have a guide for muskie one day, but the rest of the 6 days im on my own. Hoping for big pike at least
  11. I just recently picked up Spiderwire Camo, looks pretty cool, have yet to try it yet though.
  12. Just ordered an Ugly Stick 6'6" Muskie Rod, and a Cat Maxx Reel from Bass Pro Shops. Anyone ever used either? Any thoughts?
  13. Lol right near parry sound! There was about 5 of them in the one small bay, skimming across the top of the water.
  14. Hey! Im new to these forums, but love fishing. I hope to learn alot and gain experience while meeting new people. Here's a few pics of my most prized catch, it may not be huge, but I still love it. Managed to catch this Gar Pike on Georgian Bay. 15. Yeah I hardly fish, maybe only a few times a year and its usually just down here in southern ontario
  16. Oh really? Okay well now I know lol. I had no idea.
  17. Yeah, I picked up a couple of those exact spoons. I will probably let a live bait drift around, and work a spoon with another rod along the shoreline.
  18. I found out about the quick strike rig, I ill for sure use this kind of a setup. Thanks for the info
  19. Hey! I will be heading up to Georgian bay in mid July and hope to try for some pike. This is the first time I've focused on pike. Where should I be looking? I've heard the big pike head into 40 feet of water during the summer. I was told to use live bait as it's the easiest for newbies. Any help would be great! Thanks!
