  1. Thanks guys, considering the time of day regardless of conditions, I really had my doubts on catching one. And so be I did on my third cast, after that not a sniff anywhere along that waterbody. And I have tried , truelly I have, to get my three under the slot. And not another stinking sniff, and i cant complain at all . As my youngest would put it, booooooya baby!!!, what ever that means :D

  2. Ive post before hand on my plans and all were great on a personally built planner board mast, built awesome actually. Ive purchased 2 penn 309 reels that I thought that work perfectly with the line, BUT!!!No, it didnt, it held half the line and there is too much friction in the line guide :wallbash: So Now im looking for another option to reel the line in with.

Yes i can buy the walker reels, but I dont want too. Im looking to make something different and possibly add an option to the reel in time(a ring gear)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Ive received the same letter and i wasnt too happy about it only because i was very specific as too how I purchased the trailer :whistling: The boat was infact a freebee, they have accepted it, registered it and have copies of everything at service canada. Sooooo! On my part, they can prove me wrong, taxes were payed on the trailer in full. IT WAS ACCEPTED :glare: MONEY HUNGRY!!!!!!!

    Enough said !

  4. I beleive ive asked this once before , and I am asking asking to refresh my mind as to what brand and time frame this rod and reel is from. Something tells me its a shakespear trolling rod from around the 1950s or so. Ive been browsing the net and havent seen any like it so far, perhaps I wasnt on the right pages.

Any info about it would greatly be apreciated, thanks in advance.

  5. I'm not sure if they are still in business, but a little while back there was a guy just outside of Hamilton that made float reels . If I'm correct it was JW McIntyre. I once owned a smaller version of his reels.

  6. BB i see we have the same taste in footwear....gotta love happy feet...

Vin the snubbers are not necessary but DO serve a purpose of presentation....when your trolling at a set speed the snubber stretches and retracts creating short bursts of speed to your bait....sometimes this is the difference between catching fish and watching other people catch fish..

    Good Luck

Point taken T :thumbsup_anim: , Its not much different than raising and lowering the riggers a foot or two just for the sake of it. That has produced a few fish last season with out even knowing it. :thumbsup_anim:
