  1. If your looking for a flyrod and reel, you can try grandriver trout fitters in fergus or grindstone angling in waterdown,I know they both sell good used equipement.I espescially like the manner they both advise there costumers. Call the both of them and you have a good idea price wise and all the rest.theyve been great to me and sent me on the path I was looking for.Cheers vin

  2. If I was to fish the gorge, what would be a reasonable offer in good faith? I probabaly cant afford dollar wise what a production can afford to shell out for a day.I get permission to fish on private lands all the time, but to fish enter onto a corporate land to fish well! And to get permission to fish there.Last time I asked I was told its a liability thing and we cant afford it or the greatest throw off ITS NOT MY DEPARTMENT,call the number in the book. :wallbash::blahblah1::wallbash::blahblah1:

  3. my st croix 9.5ft med fast action seems to cover everything I need.whether it is bottom bouncing for trout, jigging or trolling for piks, flippin for bass, flat lining for musky or pike.I even used it for float fishing(very hard to do since its a bait casting rod but ive done it succesfully)cheers

  4. I beleive the same thing happened on Sat dec 4 1998 just north of delhi, ont(i think the year is right, the date definitly ).The mnr office in guelph will have a complaint report on the officer. What the mnr officer had to deal with earliar that morning, he had to to take it out on me.apperantly one of the locals tried running down one of the hunters as i was told, the mnr officer pulled everyone out of the forest.lets just leave it at that.

  5. Maybe these guys are allowed to fish out of season, perhaps there are loophole government grants and permissions(permits) for the sole reason of education. If this is true why are these shows not broacasted on aptn or tvo. they are gov sponsered arnt they? These fish are out of season for a reason.i bid my farewell to this topic, too peed off. cheers vinnimon

  6. you got that right,go fishing to relax.havent been to bronte or erindale in years.I used to clean up at bronte.what good that did.as for erindale and the fighting they can keep it. Ryerse is my choice for the area, nice and quite, even better fishing on a snowy day, clean woods and shoreline.since our cos are busy,a fisherman superhero would be an idea, or even a fisherwomen like wonderwomen would really enhance our day of slow fishing.:lol::lol::lol:

  7. When your fishing in hunting season make your self present by all means. An area I fish for browns I also hunt on the same day.I make a sign at the bridge, stating that there are hunters in the area within arms reach of the creek.no quarrels. Please wear your blaze orange outfits. Came across a father and son outside of delhi, All I heard was a russel in the bush, pointed the gun low and behold it was them and not a bunch of rabbits.no flippen orange on, just flippin cammo on.They were also hunting. This is not the way to teach our kids, the importance of making ourselves known to others and still respect other peoples areas.Just my 2 cents worth vinnimon

  8. FYI, I was fishing caledonia(the grand river today). Two guys crossed the river with a lot of cases,I think theyre setting up for a show. the way they crossed the river and two heavy suit cases over there shoulders, and some gear,no rods to be seen, there not familiar with the area.Well i wounder who is shooting. If there going for bows good luck,if you seen my other replies you know whats going on in the river.good luck to them though.Ill see some picts next week. cheers vinnimon

  9. So they been caught a few times, how many times have they done this without being caught?A guy today caught a bow, the hook was on the outer edge of its lips. he took the hook out and let it go.turned around to me and said, it never hit, its just floated by and stuck onto it. just my 2 cents worth.vinnimon

  10. Italo had shown up at dalhousie a few years ago to see what was going on, had a camera crew with him and no gear, we all left and went to niagara. Guess who showed up. who else.Found out later that he was fishing the niagara gorge later that day, and filmed a show, last time I tried to go down,I was told it was off limits to the general public.Maybe ill pay for a tour and bring a back packing rod.I guess membership has its privilages. As for educational reasons for fishing out of season, or in sanctuaries you know where that can be placed. His baby talking shows are ok for the kids, but we all know who the real fisherman is , you and I with our kids enjoying a day out .not some corporate BullWhy do you think henry went south?Cheers vinnimon and my 2 cents worth sorry, i just had to get it out .

  11. Havent been up the creek for 3yrs, its disgusting.Igoto lowville instead, no tires, shopping carts or bags in the creek.I wonder if any runoff is coming from the auto wreckers yard. That might explain why so many die before passing that area.I saw a female salmon struggling at the tracks and not ready to lay her eggs.I wonder why?cheers

  12. petro can park is just north of rebecca st,there is an old wooden sign and a laneway beside a house.Parking down below, and a trail along the creek past the soccer field. Bring boots, can get a little muddy. The old tree hole upstream is a good spot to relax and watch the salmon.cheers
