Same size boat as I use down there. You just have to use common sense with the weather and you'll be ok. Most days on the lake are same from start to finish its just the odd day it really kicks up.

Great job, too bad not enough wallys for you but still fun to catch the rest of them. The fishing has really taken off down there since the zebra mussels have changed the big lake.

The only restrictions that I know of is no removing wood for home use without a permit and non residents must pay a fee for daily use at the local mnr office. Also you can only stay at any one spot for maximum of 21 days.

Theres probably more and checking it out with the mnr would be a safe bet.

Great fish. Now thats the way to kick off the muskie season and some great looking walleyes to go also.

Hey Jeff you should get a hold of fishmaster before you head out and get the scoop, He'll set you right. Last summer we spent most our time in 70-80 feet of water and depending on the launch point it will mean a bit of ride out. Also as Huey said the lake can change fast so make sure you have access to the weather reports all day long.

Thanks for the report. I think the fire has changed alot of plans for people so far, nice to see the owner keeping the deposit for future use and a good excuse to go away again. I'll be waiting to see the pics and better luck with the eyes on your next trip.
