  1. Attaboy, Moosebunk. We at OFC are really lucky to get to make these trips with you, at least I feel I was there.

I think there is some nice $ inside these great reports. You write well and should be published. Check with Justin Hoffman and JP, please. You deserve to be on the newstands. I'd be looking for your byline on the front cover fer sure.

    Thanks.

  2. Powerpro, since its diameter is much smaller, puts less belly in the line from your rod to the cannonball release clip. This means that your rod tip will be a better indicator, helping you to see those little shakers. Use an 18 in line from your weight to the release clip, this helps too.

You may have to fiddle a bit with your clips so that you can put some tension in your line without either releasing it , or having your pp slide thru the clip.

If using pp, you may want to tie a fluro leader to be extra extra super stealthy.

If slammin for salmon in August, fleaficker line is the way to go.

  3. GPSCity.ca is a good place to shop for these little doodads. The x suffix denotes an expandable memory, highly recommended, you can get a 1 GB microSD card for the price of a dozen beer (not Ol Milwacky, but real beer). I think you can put the topo/street map of Canada on that lil sucker.

  4. The small ones we eat 'round'. Just gut and clean, removing head and tail, dust with flour, and fry in bacon drippings reserved from breakfast. Add salt and pepper while cooking, and serve with lemon wedges, boiled potatoes, green beans and white wine.

We hardly ever catch big ones.

  5. Agree again. A welcome change from the 'As some of you all know.... but' stuff. IMO that level of writing has no reason to be published. Get a mentor already. Do some reading yourself to see what speaks to you.

JP is a great fisherman because he always has a plan, and commitment to work that plan. Thanks to the original wildman for that great article.
