  1. Probably the main circuit board, the same thing happened to mine. What happens is there is a thin plastic waterproof layer over the circuit board, and over time dirt and sand gets in there and wears away at the protective plastic layer, and then when it gets wet, it shorts out and you lose your steering. It happened in a tournament to me and I had to manually steer mine with my hand. I got the board replaced at Rockey's tackle services in orillia, one of the only minn kota parts guys around. It was under a $100 so it wasn't too bad.

  2. I would suggest that if your friend doesn't know how to use them, then don't use them. I am an arbourist and have seen many people think they can climb and end up with a gaff in their ankle and a trip to the hospital. You need a proper saddle and 2 lanyards minimum, but like I said, I would strongly advise against using them unless you know what your doing. All it takes is one kickout and you could do a lot of damage.

  3. They can't do anything, that guy from Urban outdoors got into it with a harbour master in Toronto and it went to a legal level and turns out the harbour master had no rights as long as you didn't dock there. How many times have you watched guys fish marinas in tournaments on wfn? They can tell you what they want, but they don't own the water. It's the same as if you owned a hunting camp on crown land, someone can walk all around your camp....they just can't go in.

  4. I too was also surprised when I walked into the CT in Lindsay. Picked up some shakey head jigs and finese worms, flippin jigs, hooks and some bullet sinkers. They were still adding stuff when I was there monday, so should be stocked right up this weekend. They even have a respectable Musky selection now, not just a couple M/G's and some Kickin minnows anymore!
