  1. WTG Mikey.

I am itchin' to get out for some Pike as well before the Lakers and Whities are calling.

It is going to be warm enough in the next little bit that I think I might try casting from shore for some fat females.

    (anyone, anyone...)

    Cheers,

    Mark

  2. I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the X-67 ice instructional DVD?

I just picked up a unit to try this season but there was not a DVD included as they had in years past.

I am completely new to this (fishfinders) and any additional help before I am on the ice will help.

So if anyone has a copy they no longer need or wouldn't mind making me a copy of, it would be greatly appreciated.

I will pick it up within an hours drive. I will be down around Kitchener until just before New Years and then in the GTA for the New Year, and back and forth thereafter.

    Thanks in advance,

  3. Off I went to Radioworld to pick up the X67 ice model at the regions best price of $330.

Only...they sold out this week. (more due in mid Jan.)

Dejectedly I stopped at Le Baron's on the way home to see if they would come close to matching Radioworld's price. I am a member after all. :sarcasm:

I checked out the display and the listed sale price was $317.94.

    Sold!

No more fishing in the dark.

    Cheers,

  4. This is what I have never understood...If the Banks require one -- why wouldn't they want an Inspection system with Standards, or Liability?

As it stands now it is a total waste.

I have seen it from both sides: where an Inspector missed something obvious on a friends purchase.

also, when my sister was selling her place, one deal fell through because of a negative inspection where the inspector (who just so happens to teach "home inspection" at a Community college)speculated and made stuff up and was blatantly wrong. There was nothing she could do. No one to confront or challenge the assessment because the Inspector and his company was the property of the buyer.

The illusion of "Buy with confidence".

  5. For those who are still looking for a pair of Knipex Bolt Cutters to have as part of their essential release tools...

I have seen them in stock at two separate Lowes stores in the GTA (Major Mack and Bathurst, Caledonia and Castlefield) along with more Knipex items.

They are found alongside the other electrical tools in the electrical aisle.

    $47.99

    Cheers,

  6. Sombrero ???

How the heck did you stumble onto that?

Actually, when I was first walking up to it, I thought I had found a replacement for one of my Dad's old ceramic toy cowboy hats that had broken (sorry Dad.)

I just came across it when I was out walking on Sunday.

I have never seen one like this before. It is incredibly smooth at the base with none of the usual bubbled crowning.

    Cheers,

    Mark
