  1. The compre is a great rod. But if ur gonna spend the money, may as well bump up to the crucial.

Used to have the 7'6" mojo flippin rod. Its a very nice rod. Good action, great power, comfortable to fish, bit heavier then the crucial though. But for the price its a great rod

  2. Spend the few extra bucks and get a shimano crucial. The 7'5" heavy flipping rod will do perfect. I have one paired with a chronarch 51E that I use for flipping and its a sweet combo.

U can also get a 7'2 or even 7'11" depending on ur preference. Taller guys like a longer rod, shorter guys sometimes like a shorter rod.

I spend 98% of my time flipping docks, trees and tight cover and I run a 7'6" rod, the 7'5" crucial and have a 7'10" rod for frogs.

If u want one rod for the job, I'd reccommend that 7'5" crucial I mentioned. Go check one out u'll like it I'm sure

  3. The leafs won't be winners with phaneuf, liles, grabovski and macarthur on the team. Grabo is selfish half the time and gives the puck away too much, and sucks defensively. Macarthur gives the puck away. Liles is horrible in his own end, too many giveaways. Phaneuf can't do anything but screw up. Giveaways, poor defensive zone play, and just half assed attempts at taking a player out.

Everyone wants wilson fired, and says he doesn't know how to coach. Because he's the one on the ice screwing up everytime he touches the puck, rite? When they were tops in the league, everyone was praising him for taking such a young team and making them winners. But he clearly had no idea how to coach... Only one of the winningest coahes in the game, and only one to have been coaching in the NHL each of the past 16 or so seasons.

And to the ones complaing that burke has a hardon for americans and that's all he wants.... Burke PREFERS canadian players on his teams. Incase u don't remember, when he won the cup in anaheim, they had the largest number of canadian players on their roster in the league.

Reimer has played fine, every goalie let's in bad goals. This KID has won more games for them then he has lost. He doesn't get rattled and plays solid. Look at the games they lose. He gets no help in front of him, half the goals are on epic turn overs and just horrible defensive play, and they don't get much offsense for him either.

Burke didn't make trades cause he wasn't giving up a stupid amount for a player. Draft picks are good, when there's a good draft class. This year is a bit weak. GM's push the price up at the deadline. U can get the same player for half as much in the summer.

Wait till the summer, win or lose, changes will come. Players will be sent out, others brought in. This team is headed in the rite direction. Few small pieces away from serious contention.

The sens just surprised ppl this year, they are over achieving and will fall back to reality soon enough. No need to worry about that. Leafs did the same thing this season.

  4. He shouldn't have traded aulie. He should have moved gunnarsson if anyone currently playing. I like gunnarsson, but he would have gotten a good return. Phaneuf or liles would be the best to move. He should have sent grabovski and or macarthur too.

BUT, ashton carter is a good young kid. I'm soi so so happy he kept schenn. And for everyone who's crying for burkes head on a stake, trading for the sake of trading, isn't smart hockey and selling the farm for a player who MIGHT help ur team get in the playoffs. However, waiting till the off season, he could pick up nash or whoever, for half the cost now. They have a good young team, that will get better. They have a good young goalie, who will get better. Once the team starts using their speed, and hitting again, and get back to basics defense and just learn to cover their own end, they will be a good team. They have a ton of young talent.

  5. Like said, bait will depend on it. And if u are catching a ton of bass and very few walleye, it is ur responsibility to move locations or u could be charged.

A few fish here or there won't matter, as it happens. I landed a largie through the ice mid winter as I was talking to a CO, he asked if I got many there and I laughed and said it was my 3rd that day. He only asked if there was any size to them lol.

  6. On top of the chronarch being a remodelled curado, they also beefed up the gearing and drag systems in them. So ur getting a better version of the curado E. At a better price.

And did anyone think that with the changes and price drop, we might see another reel slide into the lineup between the chronarch and core at that 250ish price point?

  7. The curados are good. But they cheapened them this year. E series are nice if ur gonna get one. The D series were the best ones. If ur gonna get one, the core is great! But expensive. The chronarch is the best route to go, its basically last years curado, dropped the price, but still a very nice, solid reel.

  8. Grabo, and any player, are only "worth", what a GM is willing to pay them. 4m/year is probably closer to his "worth", compared to others with similar numbers.

no, even 4 mil is way too much. its no secret i dont like grabovski. but for him, i wouldnt pay much more then 2mil a year fr his services. and even then, i would damand more from him and make him a much more accountable defensive zone player. trading him would be smart rite now, his value is high and u can get something god in return. seeing dustin brown in a leaf jersey would be nice. i like his style of play. trading schenn would be a stupid move. they need defense, trading arguably ur best defensive dman, is not smart. moving kadri, also dumb. kid just keeps getting better as he grows and learns. nash would be great to have. but cant sell the farm to get him. burke is smart, he'll figure something out i hope. nash playing along tim connally could be a scary combo. kulemin on the other side and u could have a very dominate line to back kessel, lupal and bozak.

  9. That makes more sense. Instead of gambling the run back to the weigh in at least you know its worth it.

What if you kept your 3 biggest bass and headed to the weigh in with 3 hours left and gamble on weighing in one of the fish each hour.

Now that i think about the format, it gives more people a shot at cashing a cheque. not just the top 5

well, weights will only be sent out till quarter too each hour i think, so its still a gamble to go in, u may take a 4lber in, and think ur golden, then another boat comes in at say, 10:55 and drops a 5 on the scales, and u drop to second, then next hour weigh in, winner takes it with a 3 lber. lots of things to think about and when to weigh ur fish.

and, ur only allowed 2 fish in the live well at any one time during the event. so, strategy plays a bigger role during the day.

its gonna be fun, i would encourage anyone and everyone to fish it! lots of prizes being handed out as well during the registration period, and 50 bucks off registration fee till may 1st.

  10. As much as the Def suck the goalies are there to stop things that the Def can't. I have seen gus bite before the shoter has even made a move, he is always on his knees before they shot and Riemer has looked like crap since he has returned.

As much as alot of you complain about Grabo he plays with more heart then most of the leafs they all make mistakes. I would rather Grabo cough it up after rushig in the corner then Kessel stop skating after it because someones skating at him from the other team. I have seen kessel avoid getting the puck in the corner to avoid a hit never grabo though. Kessel gets as many points as he does because he has lupul and people helpimg him. The odd point because of digging but not many.

Grabo always stays clear of the dirty areas, and anytime someone touches him he gets knocked down. And he doesn't play with more heart then anyone. If u really watch him, he floats around a lot and let's others do the work. Kessel tends to play the same way, early in the season when he was at his best, he was gettin in and forechecking. Grabo has a me first mentality most of the time. If u really watch him, u can see it.

  11. Im not much of a tourney guy but Im not sure if I like this format. What about the guys that have limited horsepower ? As usual the guys with bigger faster boats have the advantage. Not to mention all the gas they are going to burn. Lets say your on big fish far away from the weigh in site, do you travel back and forth 6 times a day to weigh in a fish every hour ? Not very environmentaly friendly IMO

Myself and my partner are fishing in a bass boat powered by a 75hp motor. We're going to use strategy and our ability to find and catch bass. There will be text messages sent out each hour, notifying anglers of weights for that hour, so u risk running back to make some money, or get nuthin if u get beat. Have to know what u have in ur livewell and gamble when u think u will beat out the other fish thhat hour. Its a fun and different format, and I think its gonna be a blast. Don't need a huge boat or motor or have all the best gear, anyone can cash a check at this event.

  12. At least they got a point, better then a big fat goose egg.

yea... but at this time of year... a point, isnt gonna help them. they need 2 points. cant be losing games like this, they should have won. they outplayed NJ for the better part of the game, and a couple defensive gaffs, and poor goaltending, cost them.
