  1. G. Loomis NRX and GL2 fall into the "Wild Card " Category. First time breakage. Free over the counter replacement. When you present the "Wild Card". No questions asked. You must register and a wild card will be sent out to you.

After that, details are sketchy. As in, "what happens if the second rods fails"? No mention of that anywhere in their warraanty.

Some St. Croix Dealers are charging as much as $35. Supposedly for shipping your broken rod back to the manufacturer. In reality, they stock pile many broken rods. Ship them in bulk and get their credit. I'm quite sure it isn't costing them $35 for each and every broken rod.

Best bang for your buck in a high end is Shimano Crucial or Cumara. Lifetime over the counter. Only broke a couple. Neither of which was any fault of Shimano. Took them back to the dealer and they were replaced on the spot. No strings.

the crucial and cumara are the same rods, just different guides. personally, i would save the 50 bucks and get the crucial.

and with the loomis wild cards, as stated, first time break, no questions asked replacement. i believe with any subsequent breaks, there is a replacement cost. exact amount im not sure of. somewhere between 30 to 60 bucks i believe.

  2. Shimano crucial, great rods, lifetime warrenty, less then 200 bucks, and they have a 7'5" heavy action rod that ur looking for.

G loomis GL2 rods are same, lifetime warrently, I believe they have the wild card warrenty too, tons of models, around 200 bucks.

Either way, u could get 2 rods for the price of one legend extreme. Or a rod and a reel to pair it with.

  3. because the cost to go out and get it and tow it back in an try to salvage anything off it, would be far more costly then shooting it.

not to mention, its been beat upon by mother nature and saltwater, which we all know is not good for steel. plus there is also the cost of disposing of the fuels one back on land, and the added cost of storage of the vessel and crew to actually strip it down and scrap it, which would take several weeks.

  4. do you mean when the puck was under Lombardi? I guess if the ref saw the puck He figured it was loose...but to me it didn't look like he saw it. It looked like he was looking for it, and then he didn't even see it go in! If you watch the reply he doesn't turn his head to look in the net until the horn is blowing..leads me to believe he could not see the puck, so yes, he should have blown the whistle

ref had no idea where the puck was, watch the replay... puck goes in the net, takes the ref 2 seconds before he notices it back there. he was still watching the scrum in front. that was a horrible non whistle!! i have never been so pi$$ed after a game! as much asid like to see the leafs get the number one pick, u know they wont get it, columbus will because they need the help in their market, just like pittsburg did with crosby, and edmonton with hall. its all pre determined by bettman and his team of nimrods.

id rather have seen the leafs eliminate buffalo from the playoffs tonite. phaneuf played his usual useless game, schenn, komisarek and gardiner were all excellant tonite. kessel-bozak-frattin line played a great game.

marcus foligno should have had his face pushed through the glass tonite, especially after that tying goal. what a goof

  5. Not a thing wrong with making a product to fit every price range. For folks who like a brand but can't afford spending a fortune on a top of the line model will appreciate being able to get something that fits their budget. Ur gonna sacrafice performance with lower costs, but most people know that. Its up to the company to produce a quality product at a lower cost. Shimano is getting there. Everyone is pissy about what they did, wait and see how they respond. No one gave anything but good reviews of the caenan for the price. Quantum makes some very good reels that come in at $130 and less.

  6. bps is more of an amusement park for grown men than an outdoors store. i would rather hit a specialty shop any day of the week. even when i order online, i like dealing with cabelas. :santa:

Yup, that's how I see it. Pretty much just a place to kill a few hours. Kids love to go see the store, I only go if I really need something from there or if there's a sale item I can't let slip away for the price. Otherwise, its just someplace for fun for the kids.

  7. PRAISE ALFIE

    GO SENS GO

maybe u should have gone to the game.... the sens could have used A fan someplace in the stands tonite!

looks as though alfie has rubbed off on his teammates, teaching them how to play dirty, nice slewfoot by karlsson on steckel.

OH and the best part, the "HOME CROWD" booing that tool whenever he touches the puck!! hahahaha

  8. thats typical for BPS. which is why i save my gas and shop at fishing world, or bills bait in hamilton. better prices, and discounts on top of the prices. better service, always has what i need or gets in in a day or 2.

  9. I would like to catch a large on one in the summer and see how the fight, in the cool water I find they have a lot less energy. In the summer in London I catch small channel cats and they have more power then the large 15+ ones I got in the spring.

the bigger ones dont have as much fight to them as a smaller fish. a 10lb cat will fight harder then a 20lb cat.

u just get more weight to move with the bigger fish, they tend to be more stubborn. like to hold bottom more, and just use their size to work your rod. where as the smaller fish, will shake and run around more on u.

  10. what?

his 2 way play is probably one of the best on that team.

no its not. it really isnt. sit and watch the games, and watch his play. he shows flashes of excellant hockey, and at times has shows he can be a top 2 way player. most of the time he floats around, and just gets lazy in his own end and ignores his defensive responsibilities.
