If your just getting a one year license & not an Outdoors Card at the same time you will not get a stricker no matter where you buy it.
You have to carry the print out for the year. A yellow tag from a license issuer or a computer printout if you do it on line.

didn't come out right , blame it on beer and a french accent , possesion limit is 10 dozen per angler , 2 anglers 2 buckets, right ?
I know of no requirement for anglers to have separate buckets.
As far as I know if two anglers are fishing together they can have their minnows in the same bucket as long as they do not exceed the total amount they are allowed.
Not the same as catch & possession limits for fish where each angler can only catch their own limit and can not help out the other angler on their limit.
-
the answer is
....no...you are not allowed extra
you are allowed the same number of bait as always
and the child is allowed the their full count of bait
but you are not allowed extra and if the MNR sat and watched and saw you use 120 then start taking from the childs minnows you could be charged
would never happen but........it is the law
This is actually incorrect.
There is no daily limit on minnows used only a possession limit of 120.
Once they are used and gone (no longer in your possession) you can replenish your supply as many times as needed as long as you don't have more than 120 in possession at any given time.

In 2 different buckets ..
Where do you find the requirement for 2 buckets?
-
My question is do the lights on these camera's violate the "No use of artificial lights to attract fish" law?
-
Sinclair is correct.
A few years back the rules changed.
Now it makes no difference if there is a lure or not. Live or dead bait makes no difference.
Maximum of 4 hooks per line not matter if they are single hooks, double hooks or trebble hooks.

Actually I have many times convinced some poor soul (sans Licence) to come spend an hour or two with me in the great outdoors .. and watch me fish ... I would fight that one all the way to the supreme court ... of course I never let em touch my rod
Not a charge that is even possible to fight to the Supreme Court.

If on a septic system ensure sewers are not coming to the area or factor the cost in you bid.
In many places once sewers come to the area you are forced to hook up at 15 -20 grand your cost. No option of not hooking in.
Also with a well & septic system ensure everything is up to current code and a bacteria test is good.
The system may have been to code when installed & no longer up to current code. If any work is required on the system the contractor is required to upgrade to current code.
With septic systems there are different types with different upkeep costs. The larger the # of residents the more frequent the service required.
If you have a weeping bed look for trees in the area of the weeping bed. Roots can block off the runs of pipe or tiles.
The newer peat systems require changing out of the peat every so many years.
I walked away from one place last year due to problems with the well/septic system the owner would not address. Needed 10 grand in updates.

Heading for Temagami in about 9 hrs.

Beer.
And that's year around.

How much ice are they telling you is there Rick?
My fishing partner's brother lives up there (free place to stay
) and is reporting ATV's and sleds on the ice. We'll be walking so I doubt ice thickness will be a problem. With the cold weather forecast it will be making far more ice. Decided not to take the machines as where we plan on fishing are not far walks. Less gas to get there not dragging the large trailer for 6 to 7 hours.

I hope Simcoe locks up soon but in the mean time I'm heading for Temagami on the 27th.

In Seaforth it is quite windy now.
Some snow flurries blowing through.
Local creeks flowing fast and high most over the banks.

Hey guys I did a search on it.
A big Red Flag is "Canadian Coast Guard approved".
This is a long way from a new suit.
It is been a while since the Canadian Coast Guard has been the approving authority.
Transport Canada is now & has been for more than a few years the approving authority.
Comparing to current prices is not realistic.
That being said I have a Helly Hansen Delta II & it's a great suit.

Well that settles it. I'm not paying the bills till next week.
Might as well pay them or even better have one hell of a party.
Can't take it with you.

Like the one on the right in this picture?
I have a couple in my box still.
LOL
I actually have a couple exactly the same as these.
But then that could be expected as it's my photo you posted.
-
I did it when I was younger & actually liked it.
7 days off every 2 weeks. Most people only get 4 days off every 2 weeks.
The way our shifts were set up was similar to yours.
Worked every second weekend & had a three day weekend off every second week end.
Days off mid week are great for fishing away from the crowds.

Be careful buying this unit online.
The dual beam claim sends out red flags to me. Is the actual unit the X67 or just the carrying case with another unit in it?
With the replacement for the Ice X67 the Elite 4x Ice Machine out with dual beam, more power & screen options for $280 don't over pay for a used unit without warranty.
On one site I seen one guy asking $250 firm for a used X67.
-
I've been looking for a flasher/fish finder for ice fishing as well. The Elite 4x looks very similar to the x67, anyone know the differences between the two?
IIRC the Elite 4x has about 30% more power, dual beam transducer & a few different screen options.
Also the Elite is a new unit where the X67 is no longer made.
The Elite has moved much closer to the Humminbird 345c in specs but still not quite there.
-
I have a Humminbird Ice 345c and it works great. No problem seeing my jig in 120'.
Same sonar as the 385 minus the GPS.
Use the sonar screen and not the flasher screen.
The Humminbird GPS Uni-Map is very basic and you will want to add a map chip to it. Until 31 Dec. Humminbird is offering a free Lakemaster chip with the purchase of a finder/gps unit.
-
Ice transducer available for the 160.
The 170 is far better @ 1600 watts, 8 levels of grayscale & twice the pixels. Never seen it offered in a portable package though.
All that being said the Elite 4x is a better unit by far.
Also consider the Humminbird Ice 345c. Same specs as the Elite except slightly more power at 2400 watts. $315

I plan to get the pleasure craft card.
Required for any power boat.
I know that 9.9HP motor = no insurance. No insurance required by law for any pleasure boat in Ontario.
I have a Dodge Grand Caravan 2011 with 350HP, and intend on putting on a towing package with transmission cooler. Not needed for a 12 footer.
Most likely not enough vehicle for a 30 footer. Unlikely it would have a high enough towing capacity to pull a 30 footer. Also if your combined vehicle/boat weight is over 4500 kg you require a yearly safety on both the tow vehicle and the trailer.
Get the 12 footer and enjoy it.

The way Simcoe was last year, that's a pretty good description!
Actually I had no problem finding fish last year on Simcoe.
The problem was finding good ice. With the limited freeze what was fishable was awful crowded.
2013 licences?
