I absolutely love his show. I think he's a great host.

It's far more obvious with some fish. For example, 99% of the larger, fat perch you catch this time of the year and into the spring are females, and male salmon and rainbow both typically get very dark and develop kypes when spawning. Some species like bass it's very difficult to tell.

The majority of the perch I've got out of Simcoe have been in 30-40 FOW.

Buying a sled or an atv is cheaper than having to pay to get your vehicle out of the lake !!!! Does insurance cover vahicles that go through ?

As far as I know, they do not cover it.

Is there current in Innisfil? I couldn't imagine a vehicle going through at this point in the season.

How much water were you in? I think I might head to Virginia Beach instead of Jackson's Point, since it's a bit shorter drive.

I'm mad about not getting ice fishing enough this season, but open water means fishing closer to home, which of course means more time spent on the water, so agreed.

Thanks for the input. What are the access roads typically like in that area? I don't have a machine, and I'd most likely be going in a car or 2 wd truck.

Charlie Moore is easily the worst fishing show I've ever seen. Honestly, who wants to watch an arrogant loser like him drive around in a hummer, smoke cigars and catch 3 ounce bass for an entire show.

I can't say I'm a coin collector.
