Thanks everyone. Good advice! I'm going to look up the places you suggested. -
**I posted this same topic in 'Fishing News" by mistake. Is it possible that an admin could delete the original post?** Hi All, Me and a few buddies want to get away for a weekend fishing. Can anyone suggest a few options for campsites (tenting) that offer ok bass fishing on a lake, within about 2 hours or so of Toronto? We have a 14 foot boat with motor and will need to launch it. Thanks for any help!

Thanks Akrisoner. I've never fished in the Kawarthas and I'm looking forward to this trip. Good to know the fish are biting :) I've never caught a Walleye..so I'll have to brush up on my Walleye catching skills and pick up a few new lures for the trip.

Has anyone been fishing on Upper Buckhorn Lake this season? I'm heading there in a week or so and was curious about what luck people have had...I think technically I'll be on Lovesick Lake. Thanks

Hey Ohio, I live in Burlington, On - so there's not a ton of good fishing spots close to me where I could eat the fish. Plus, I'd like a little get away with some buddies (3-4 of us) - I guess it's kind of a short vacation. But I do want to fish a lot...on a fishing boat...On a river/lake where I have a good chance at catching fish I don't need to catch a lot. 1 or 2 good ones and I'm happy. I would like to fish for some bass (because that's pretty much what I know and have lures for). I wouldn't mind learning to fish for Walleye. I definitely would like a guide for a half day or a full day. I think we'd be looking at paying $500 - 800 total for three nights x 4 guys. Appreciate the help, Kevin

Good list Dan - I've already checked out few and need to go through a bunch more.

Thanks Dan. Looks like some good options there. I'm going to have to look at all the links.

Thanks - good niagara info!

Both options look good. I might have to look more in niagara! Definitely great for a day trip. I'd have to learn about some new tackle.

Hi Everyone, I love fishing but consider myself an intermediate fisher. The biggest bass I've ever caught is about 3.5 - 4 lbs (I fish mostly for bass) I seem to start visiting this forum about this time every year but I love the community. I don't own a boat but the best days fishing I've had have been on boats when it's easier to move around a lake. Can anyone help me with a listing of fishing lodges in Ontario withing about 4 hours of Toronto? It would be good if I could have a cabin to myself and access to a boat rental and likely a guide for a half day or a day. Any recommendations you have would be appreciated.

Those are some big fish! Good job... -
Great article Spincast! Thanks.

Nice fish! What kind of bait/lures were you using? I've just started fishing for trout.

Thanks All Knowing. I thought Bronte Creek went through Loweville and Carlisle? I'd like to try some spots on the credit.

I went to Carlisle today to try some trout fishing on Bronte Creek. Went to Progreston Falls but didn't have much luck. I don't usually fish for trout but I tried using some split shots and floating Gulp eggs. (with spinning real & rod) Any other good spots on the Bronte in that area? Where is the Loweville Dam? I heard that may be a good spot. Cheers
