ehg...the fish was just over 40" and is the smallest I've caught so far on the river. That's the reason for the "little" fish saying ...

Sorry for the blurred shot, but my wife borrowed the camera and left it in Landscape Mode which has a really slow shutter speed!!!...I didn't realize this until I got home and downloaded the picture

After working around the house all day, I decided to go for a little Muskie hunt after dinner to wind down and enjoy the end of the beautiful day we had.....the barometer was falling and even though there was a brisk East wind, I managed to lure this little guy into the boat .....

The summer (WHAT SUMMER??????) has been hectic between work and getting things done around the house...I stripped and stained the entire cedar posts and rails around the deck this year which took forever using a 4 1/2" hand grinder....

I'm sure we'll get together soon between fishing Quinte for eyes or here for the Muskies till ice up...

I unpacked and put all the gear away from the trip up to Temagami and flipped a coin later this morning whether to sit and watch Coronation Street with my sweetie or go out and try hunting down a Muskie.....the coin toss won the Muskie outing so out I went.....

Not sure but this gal may have been hooked before as her upper lip line pretty scarred....

HOLY Crapola Mike .....that is ONE NICE BASS!!!!....congrats on your new PB!!!

I love the fact that you're holding that fish close to your body as opposed to the "extended arm" shot !!!!...it is definately a HOG!!!!

Great report and pics. I understand the jackets, that wind was nasty and cold eh. Almost couldn't get a break from the weather all week. But you made the best of it and got some nice fish, way to go.

Thanks Joey....I didn't mind the jackets as much as the friggin' wierd wind.....one minute from the west, then south, then north.....I prefer cooler temps as there were minimal mosquitoes...

Nice report Joey....looks like some nice fish were caught!!....We were up at Temagami Lake last week and I can definately relate to the mixed bag of weather you had all week!!!

How were the lakers caught Leadcore,downrigger vertical jigging? Nice trip!

Never used the downriggers and the wind wouldn't let up to vertical jig....steel line and lead core was the winning combination...

Great report ehg!!....now that's a nice Bass and that Muskie isn't too shabby either!!

Another annual trip with my Son, Son-in-law who flew up from Georgia and a couple of buddies has come and gone again....this was my second trip this year up to Temagami and this one was a blast hanging out with the boyz....

Good eats, drinks, laughs and the odd fish ....my buddy and I even got to portage into another lake this trip for some eyes....

We had great weather other than the Tuesday that bombarded us with a wicked West wind that kept us on the island with nothing much to do other than drink many pops and cocktails ....it's amazing how us older guys can still keep up with the young bloods...

hey all, i'm posting this question to inquire about some fishing opportunities with these areas in mind. i will be moving my younger sister back to Carleton U. on Labour Day weekend and am bringing my rod and some tackle with me to try and get in a few hours of fishing. wouldn't mind getting into a brooktrout or 2, i enjoy bass fishing and pike is one of my faves. i'm not at all familliar with these parts so any and all education is greatly appreciated. love the board guys, it gets me through some loooong 12 hr shifts on the weekends here at work!!
