WOW WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT ABOUT THE GAR BECAUSE I CAUGHT HIM ON LIGHT LINE AS WELL AND WITHOUT TELLING A FISH TALE HE WAS EASILY 20LBS.NOT A VERY COMMON CATCH AND ALSO A FISH I WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT A RECORD.NOT TO MENTION THERE ARE GAR IN THE MUSEUM OF MAN IN OTTAWA IN A FISH TANK.THEY ARE JUST COOL LOOKING FISH AND A N EXPERIENCE TO CATCH.THE OLD GENTLEMAN I MENTIONED WHO ONLY USES THREAD CATCHES THEM QUITE CONSISTENTLY IN THE 20LBS RANGE.QUITE A SITE TO SEE THESE BIG FISH THRASHING AROUND.DID I MENTION AS WELL THAT I WAS IN MY WADERS WHEN I CAUGHT THAT BIG GUY AND TO SEE THIS HUGE FISH WITH A SPEAR ON THE FRONT OF HIS HEAD COMING AT YOU IN HIS ENVIRONMENT IS QUITE SCARY !!

I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT THERE ARE 20 + LBS GAR IN THE OTTAWA RIVER .I CAUGHT ONE AND HAVE SEEN SOME MUCH BIGGER !!! There are lots of big Gar in the ottawa area.Over in Aylmer along the shoreline there are some huge ones 20-30lbs.Caught one on a top water (spitting image) and it took twenty minutes to get it in .When I went to grab him it was like grabbing a turtle shell.The coolest thing though is there is an old guy in aylmer who only fishes for them and he uses a fly rod with thread on the end NO HOOKS and when they hit they roll and the thread gets caught in their beak and they can't get off.i have to say it was one of the coolest and most humane ways of catching a fish i had ever seen!!!

That was quite the pee wee team Toronto iced last night LoL. Leafs need to find a real goalie maybe they should have gone after Gerber ? any motor can blow up and yes there have been issues with the 115 this is why you don't see a 135 hp by evunrude.Key word blew up After Warranty what do you want a free ride for life ? trust me if the merc blew up after warranty you wouldn't be getting anything from them either if anything it would be worst.mercury is by far the worst to deal with.poor quality and constant problems.Why do you think they keep changing who makes them.They can't stay with anybody for any extended period of time.Do you think that a dealer who is Mercury specific is going totell you something good about an evinrude ? We sell both and i know the true reality. 4 STROKES HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH FOR A FAIR COMPARISON !! Not to mention mercury just put out a slam campaign against Evinrudes.Why do they care if they have the best motor and own everything ?..... because they are nervous and know there product doesn't compete and the only way they can respond is to tell lies to the consumer.Why not spend those million of dollars making your motors better ?Mercury is the Crysler of the boat world.Let's buy everything thing and then ruin the quality buy trying to make them cheaper.Cheaper parts make cheaper motors !!!

hey guys the evinrudes are cheaper than the 4 strokes.50 hp evinrude $6700 50hp merc 4 stroke$7600.I guess judging by my name you know what i use.Etec all the way no better motor on the market.4 STROKES HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO SAY THEY ARE BETTER !!!Evinrude etec .....150 hp merc 4 stroke weighs 135lbs more than a 150 hp etec(i don't want an extra guiy in my boat do you ?) more torque,better fuel efficiency,less oil ONLY MOTOR TO PASS EMISSIONS IN CALIFORNIA AND EUROPE HMM.. also remeber mercury owns every aluminum boat company except for 4 . Thsi is why you here all this stuff about 4 strokes not because they are better.Buyer beware we service way more 4 strokes than we do 2 strokes.200 more parts and 200 more reasons to go WRONG.Check out the evinrude website and you can see the head to head comparisons of the ETECs against mercury ,honda and yamaha 4 strokes(if i'm buying a 4 stroke it is a yammy!).Not to mention they self winterize which is going to save you a chunk of change each year !!!
