I have a 2013 60 hp Mercury 4 stroke and added the Big Tiller Handle. I previously had a 50 hp Mercy 2 stroke. I did gain more speed and better hole shot with the 60 hp. But I was mostly wanting the added fuel economy. The Big Tiller works great, with the trim and tilt and shifter right at your finger tips. The boat is a Alumacrat Navigator 165 and runs about 35 mph with 2 adults and fuel. I also went with the 4 blade prop.

I have been real happy with lodges in around the Dryden and Atikokan area. Browns Clear Water has several out post camps and boat rental options. June has been some of the best fishing so you my need to get going on reservations soon. Good luck.

Nice fish, I was fishing this past week and the fish were acting the same way, any movement and they were gone. My Vexilar was solid red about 2’ off the bottom and active all day. That sure makes up for those slow days. Nice post, look forward to more.

Does anybody Ice fish this area and how you been doing. I just returned home from a nice fishing trip, Lakers were slow, but The White fish were nonstop all day. Ice was good with no slush for once.

I fish up river on this body of water, You will like this area. The lakes on the Seine have been seeing more Crappies in the 14" to 16" range. Also the Pike and Walleye have some size, My biggest Walleye was 33" and was caught on the Seine River. The Bass are plentiful and big. You can check with these lodges that are on this water system and see if this is what you’re looking for. Seine River Lodge or Perch Lake Lodge and I believe there are a few more that you may find on the internet. I live in Minnesota and own a home in Atikokan, so I don’t know much about the lodges. If you have not fished this area before, You will be glad that you did. People and the lakes are some of the best.
