The issue I have with places like Belwood and conestoga is the boat launching is all on GRCA land (Unless I'm mistaken please correct me) and they don't open until 8am. If I'm fishing I'm starting earlier than 8am...

If you're going to Kawarthas Lower Buckhorn is usually better than Stoney. If you're going to Bay of Q its much better near Picton than it is Belleville or Trenton and that's pretty far from KW. Honestly the only thing I don't like about living in KW is the terrible drive for a decent place to fish. But I would agree and say St. John or really most of Simcoe if you don't mind the big lake. And if you're willing to drive four hours you could probably make most of the lakes around Parry Sound and they're all good.

I live in Cambridge. All these guys talking about the Grand are spot on. I've seen many a fishin show filmed below Dunnville. It's definitely the best in the province. But, I was also born and raised on the Trent River, and it hold some big ones as well. Bradley Bay, south of Campbellford holds a lot of good ones as well as big Muskie. Good luck!

Hey everyone I know this is a fishing forum but has anyone hunted on grand river conservation's "miscellaneous hunting property"? There's a bunch around. I got my eye on one south of elora. Just wondering if it's worth paying their fees? PM me details if you like. It's not my intent to see anything get hunted out. Thanks, JW

Hey Everyone, I'm looking to buy a house north of Sudbury sometime this year. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share some fishing tips as I haven't been up there much. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, just a place with easier access where I can catch a few Pike and/or bass. I fish from a canoe mostly, so maybe some smaller lakes that aren't as well known? Thanks in advance! JW

It's a long river. Do you fish it down near Paris? Or further north?

I assume most people wade it because of the current, eh? hmm not really my style. Does anyone know of a better spot for canoe or boat? Also what about north of Cambridge?
