  1. I'll be making a ice fishing trip next weekend to a lake in sudbury, just wondering how most of the ice is on the lakes thier. Just want to make sure it's worth the 4-5 hour drive before I find out the lake isn't frozen. Thanks in advance

  2. Oh no, not yet guys. Just planning a trip ahead in about 3 weeks or so. The place I have had my mind in site is getting about on average -15 temps everyday for about the past 2 weeks, but I still would like to be sure that the lake is frozen when I egt thier. And safe since I don't wear a floater suite. Ice fishing right now is out of the question. Just in the planning stge. And Thanks for the links guys :thumbsup_anim:

  3. I know Lake simcoe has a site, but does anyone know any sites where it gives you good ice conditions? I know it won't have all the lakes available so is thier something that tells you the average in the city? Don't know if that makes sense Lol

  4. I gave 2 carp (10 - 12 pounds) to an Estonian gentleman on my mail route a few years ago . . . . . he cooked 'em on a Hibachi charcoal barbie . . . . . and saved a piece for me. When he brought it out, I gotta admit . . . . I was a bit squeamish, but I tried it. Surprise, surprise . . . . . it was actually VERY good . . . . . if I hadn't known what it was, I'd have figured likely bass. But apparently there is a WRONG way to cook 'em, just fried up, they taste kinda greasy . . . . . but several Polish people I know consider 'em a delicasy, stuffed & roasted at Christmas time.

    P. S.

    Put a carp & a whitefish side by side . . . whitefish also has large scales . . . sucker-type mouth under the head . . . . . eats DEAD things . . . OFF BOTTOM . . . . . . not vegetation? Hm m m m m ??

I know Polish people that eat carp for Christmas as well but the carp here and the carp in Poland are completley diffrent. Dunno if your reffering to the Polish people that live here or in Poland.

  5. I saw it on the news as well, I took a trip to the creek last week to check it out and I was shocked what I saw. A part of the bay where the fish pass by to enter the creek is now mud, There is no way the fish could pass threw this mud anyways, The creek was even worse no flow and it was super low. It is probally way up with non stop rain yesterday but it is too late for the salmon.
