Crappies of our normal spot arrived earlier so we have a fantistic morning and the size were really good. Plan to go tommorrw again subject to my wify approval since she starts to complain the time I stay home. Will take the advantage to go as much as I can before she has enough to tolerate my lack of time to spend with the family or else I have to find a new wife.LOL.

That's why I gave up to fish in there since 5 years ago. Used to get very big slap but not anymore. My friend got a good spot for good size slap but everytime he bring me to this spot, I have to cover my eyes until I arrive this spot and full body search make sure no GPS to mark the spot. LOL

But the current and wind will move the boat a bit. Will it affect the reading even u anchor the boat ?

Is any one use this effort to find depth and fish? Is this accurate to locate fish and see the fish bite like ice fishing? Thanks in advance!

Our last ice fishing trip for March 2012 ended yesterday and the result is promising. Ice getting thinner and thinner and my personal advise is DO NOT GO OUT any more. Anglers get stranded on Lake Simcoe last week were so lucky everyone can still ice fishing in the coming future since no life was lost. One angle tried to jump the crack with his ATV but not succeed and ended up with injury of his head and need lots of stitches on his injured area. We arrived to our fishing spot(30 minutes away from Lake Simcoe) on last Friday too but decided not to go out because of the gusting wind blowing like crazy. I am glad that my decision was right so we did not get hurt and did not lose any gears. One of the angler from the other area has to jump to his ATV before the ice broken off and he made it back to shore but he lost all his fishing gear-New Flasher, Flip-over Hut and all his rod and takle box but he is happy that at least he still has his ATV which is the most expensive tool for his future ice fishing trip. Anyway, hope everyone will have a good fishing season coming for the Spring and Summer.

I think wax worms is for ice fishing only. Maybe use superworms in the Spring because the superworms is longer and its body move and spin a lot.

Went out to check my luck still good or not. Got more than 50 Crappies but just keep reasonable decent size and let the rest back to swim for future fun. Also add youtube for video viewing

Anyone know the different between maggot and wax worm? Also there is a brownise half finger size worm and do you know what they call(anyone use this kind of worm for panfish)? Where can I buy those worm in Toronto area? Thanks in advance!

Ajax but nearby crappy tire the Fatfish all sold out

Left my name and contact phone number yesterday for one of the crappy tire saying they have one in stock but they couldn't find it at that time. They promised me to call me once they find it but up till now no phone call from them. Maybe they don't bother to call me but sell it to somebody else. What a good customer service!!!!!!!

What is the proper way to set up the Hub type ice shelter? Will they tangle up if you set up improperly? Someone told me they broke the pole when they set it up. Thanks in advance
