  1. Great looking trip and family my friend! Thanks for sharing both parts!
  2. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Congrats, she's a beaut!! What area of GB were you in? Really nice fish!!
  3. Just wanted to share a picture of my 2.5 yr old son's 1st Fish. Pumpkinseed caught on Worm & hook from Black Lake (Sharbot Lake PP) Proud moment! He's hooked!
  4. No way...... Walleye in Chemong are back??? Congrats, nicest eye I have heard coming out of Chemong in a long time!
  5. Sorry, that is too funny! I remember their being quite a few in the Burnt River as a kid. They are freaky to see swim up beside you in the canoe. Nothing a padle doesn't fix though!
  6. Thanks BigCreek! Very insightful. I am thinking the Pickerel is one of those places that people don't get out to too often, especially judging from the price of the cabin we are staying in for 3 days at $360.00 TOTAL! Hopefully it is a old forgotten gold mine that is just waiting for some new interest. By chance anyone know the average depth of the river in the east section?
  7. Hey Joe, I have stayed at Mac's Camp & also Fred's Camp. Both are on Lake Kagawong. Lake has a ton of SM and apparently some big Pike & Jumbo Perch. I personally only caught the SM's. I didn't get a lot of time to fish but had a great time when I was out. Both camp's are very close to each other but I would say Mac's camp was best for fishing out of. Cabin's may be booked but they have camp sites for tent's or Trailers. Worth a look. http://www.manitoulin-island.com/macscamp/boating.htm The lake is Beautiful with huge Lime Stone walls and shoals. Lake looks tropical it is so clear and emerald green. Have a great time!
  8. Hi All, I am heading up to the Pickerel River on the Aug Long week-end. Just wondering if anyone knows the area or river at all? I have never been out so it will be a whole new discovery on this body of water for me. We are staying at Kagamaga Lodge http://www.kagamaga.com/ Appreantly there is Walleye, LM & SM, Musky & Pike. I will mostly be going for the LM & SM but would love to try for them all!! Any and all help much appreciated. Hopefully I can share some pictures of our catch when we return. Keep them Tight!
  9. Thanks guys. So I take it there are no Walleye to ber had? Pike & Bass are always fun. Would you prefer to fish Kushog over Little Gull??
  10. Good afternoon all, I am considering a rental on Kushog Lake this summer and not familiar with lake at all. Any insights into what species can be found would be great. Of course any insights into size ranges and action would be usefull. FishOn!
  11. Thanks for all the excellent suggestions, I am leaning towards the Duct Tape!! It is actually in a tricky spot, only accessible from underneath as there is a Arched plate on the inside that covers where the loose rivots are. Not very accessible from the inside. Wow, that is very kind of you. I have the boat in storage up north right now but plan to bring it down to the city soon. I really appreciate your offer, and may take you up on it. I can get a compressor for sure. I take it you like your beer.... cold and wet?? Thanks again to all!
  12. Favorite, Innis & Gunn, but at $3.25 abottle it is liquid Gold. Moosehead & Sleemans Draught are my staples
  13. Ahhhh Spring is in the air..... I was wondering if I might get some suggestions on how to seal up some leaky rivots on my old 12Ft Aluminum. It seems to be across just one area of the boat, but I am starting to take on a little more water than I am comfortable with. Anything out there that is a quick fix? Appreciate all the wisdom. Fish ON!
  14. Well looks like I will be going with the old Trial & Error method! WHOOOO HOooo!! It's GO TIME! Have a good weekend. Heading out for 7 days in Paradise!! Have a good week-end all!
  15. I am sure you can get some imitation Fly's that won't bite you back!
  16. Ultra Lite = Light equip, short casts. Bottom line.
  17. Took the words right out of my mounth.... priceless!
  18. Took the words right out of my mounth.... priceless! Thanks for sharing story!
  19. One more sleep and we are on the road!! Any suggestions are appreciated.
  20. Thanks guys, much appreciated as usual. Exide it is!
  21. Great trip, great company and a beautiful spot!
  22. Hey Roy, NE of Lac St Jean, we stay in L'Ascension. We fish the Peribonka River and a lot of small lakes off the logging roads heading north. Any specific colour or size of jigs seem to be working in the early season so far?
  23. Well, it is close, so close I can smell the Laurentide! The annual Quebec Fishiing trip is scheduled to begin this Friday night at 12AM! 12 Hr drive to Belle Provence! (SP??) We will be there for the week! We have had a tough time with the Walleye in recent years, we typically jig plastiics or troll. Has anyone come across some new rigs that have been working lately? I will be sure to get a report together for your "VIEWING" Enjoyment once we return. FISH ON!! Couple video links from past trips below!
  24. It actually seemed like more of a trip. When I put it away last fall, I charged it, so I thought it would still have some charge in it. So when I connect it the meter starts to rise up will stay for a bit then you hear it spark and it dops back down to 0%. The charger seems to be still running. I hooked up the trolling motor to the battery and it would not even spin a bit. ??
