air bags on the rear , 110 load index tires and trans cooler maybe shift kit. bigger brakes or better brakes you can do it, my beef would be the long term idea , once in awhile is one thing but daily?? start with putting the trailer ona diet, maybe an open trailer frame with a custom tarp would save the weight instead of buying a full enclosed metal body?

oh thats right its being pointed out last time, with all due respect to the fishing for tyler event i'd like to try and do get together on a different lake and date then. maybe we'll leave out simcoe and second wk of feb from the choices? no disrespect , iam sure some people are working very hard at making that event a success , this event could be a different choice to meet up for the members who are unable to attend fishing for tyler's event for some reason?...cheers

we had some people interested in a get together on the ice. i was wondering if anyone was still willing to do this?
we need to pick a lake? BOQ,nipissing or other lake X?
and a month? jan,feb,early march?
then a date? 1st,2nd,3rd,4th weekend?
we can do this without the help of any lodges, resturants, hut operators etc....
if we all pitch in with rides, cutting holes and maybe BBQ for food?
Iam willing to travel up to 4hrs to any of these lakes and bring a crap load of gear to help out including porta-pottie for the weak!,BBQ for the hungry and a ski-doo for the lazy. and a couple heaters for the cold ones! i could even get my hands on a party tent(not too huge but big enough)....
ANYONE interested?
as pointed out byBEANS OFC has fishing for tyler event on feb14th/2009 at innisfil beach lake simcoe so that lake and date are booked already for many members i hope!
1 members for nipissing(me)
2 members for BOQ

Remove rear bumber? Maybe remove the front bumper, I can see that.
yip sorry front bumper , not sure why isaid rear bumper?I have a 2008 Escape LTD with a tow package. I want to haul my boat (2400 lbs with trailer). DoI need a transmission cooler as I live in hilly PA? My Ford dealer says they can put one it but have to remove the bumper to do so and want $650.00 to do it. Can one be installed for less without removing the bumper
-
i added one to my silverado z71 4x4 AFTER i blew the first tranny, i would have one installed if i was you and also i'd do something about the guy saying he put one in and didnt
, a swift kick in the nards usually does the trick
wow just did a google on this topic and loads of people saying that ford added trans oil cooler because the CD4E trans were failing in escape's? i havent looked here yet but everyone should try AUTOMOTIVE FORUMS.COM for loads of info on your specific vehicle...one guy said that the dealer 's quote was 650 to install the oil cooler because they had to remove the rear bumber? he went to U-haul and the did it for 49 parts and 66 bucks labour?
