I used the stuff this past weekend for the first time. That stuff is bunk. Stuff tastes awfull. I'm glad I only tried it on three peices. Tastes like it was fried in the dirty 10 year old oil of one of those roadside french fry trucks. Fish crisp blows.

Lake hasnt been that good as of yet. I've been there three times allready. To much traffic. WE got16 pike in total. No real big ones. We got into some nice crappie there though. The walleye bite is pretty hot there now. Pike are in the shallows next to the plant. Right at the plant sidw next to the boat launch in those weeds. Good luck. I will be there on saturday morning again.

You are not ranting. I beleive that you need to support your local stores no matter what you do. My reason for this is that you become friends with these guys and you end up getting better deals than you can anywhere else then anyways. I will not lie, i've been to Bass Pro and Le barons as well as the other stores. I buy some stuff there sometimes because they are cheap. The bulk of my money goes into the local store. My favorite store is five minutes away from my house and if he doesnt have it he will order it for me. The main reason for my going to a local store is that they are a wealth of info , you learn so much from them that its not even funny. Try doing that at bass pro. I myself had the pleasure to meet Sam last weekend. This man stayed open all night just for us. I made sure as to go there to buy my minnows and we ended up buying a coffee thermos and minnow bucket. By the way thanks for the coffee fill. It was great. Guys this man donated gear for our derby for the kids and even came there to meet everyone. This is what you get when you support your lacal tackle store, a person who cares. I myself live in Toronto and will make it a point to stop in and get my stuff there every time I go that way even if its just to say hi. I have told all my friends to go there as well. This is what you get from them. You gain knowledge. You dont have to wait in line and the best is as long as you know what you need you can call them in advance and they can have your stuff ready for you when you go there . I have accounts set up so they can charge my card for me when the stuff comes in. Most will order it for you on the fact that they trust you.

MY BOAT SANK! NEED HELP (update #3, May 9)
marvin replied to young_one's topic in General Discussion
Thats right the boat is aluminum. Its the same as mine, they only look like glass. There was a freighter around trhat morning but it would not sink the boat. It would have to be one huge wave to do just that and why were there no other boats damaged. I'm telling you I've bought three trackers before and the compant they use for their pumps are famous for leaving it unlocked and thus the water will trickle in from the pump being knocked loose. It almost is for sure mechanical. I would inspect all the welds at the stern, as there are no more visable for cracks. You have to check your hoses and pumps every time before you go on the water. What does it take 5 minutes, big deal. I've seen it happen to some of the best boats on the market. I use a little bit of thread seizer on all the clamps to ensure they dont get knocked lose during some rough rides. Hey young one. I went over my boat tonight with a fine tooth comb. Your boat will dryout easily. Seems to me that our boats have a very heavy guage wire so it will handle the water easily. You fuse block will be ok for sure as its designed to get wet, no problem there. Go out and buy plugs for your livewells and baitwells that you can put in when not in use just like I have. You should dry your boat out completely and buy a can of marine grade adhesive for some spots that will or might have lifted a little. Power wash the inside first though as to get out any sand and debris. I power wash my boat twice a month and trust me it gets fully wet inside like yours. I would have your motor serviced at a proper mercury dealer. Dry out everything well and spray a anti mold spray deoderizer. You will be fine. Drain all the fuel and change any fluids and clean and check all wire connections. Hope it works out. -
My old boat is there. I had it three monts and then decided to go bigger. I installed a hydraulic jackplate and all the bells and whistles. It just wasnt a big enough boat for bigger water. Its a white nitro 640 lx. No problems with that one.

MY BOAT SANK! NEED HELP (update #3, May 9)
marvin replied to young_one's topic in General Discussion
That boat did not sink because of the waves. That boat handles the rough water like you wouldnt beleive even facing backwards. I was in that area and there was no wind at all around the time of the incidient. I would either suggest foul play by Jackasses would be my number one reason. Maybe a loose hose which causes the boat to fill without knowing. Its happened to me a few times. Especially the pumps being a little bit loose. That boat wasnt water tested so it would most likely be human error on either the Dealers behalf or the owner. I hope it was the dealer. Thats boats design is the same as mine the waves roll right off quickly from the well and thereare drainage holes there if you look closer. That stern is designed to shed the water quickly. -
MY BOAT SANK! NEED HELP (update #3, May 9)

Wow !!!!!!!!! Sorry about your boat, Hope it turns out in the end for you. I have the Bass version of that boat (2007) model. Mine is the same set up as yours. First do what everyone is telling you, fill the boat with water and plug all the intakes etc to see if she leaks. I doubt it was around the transom. The pumps for the livewell have to be turned and locked in place in order not if this is not done you will have a boat thats full of water like yours. You can get a automatic bilge for that boat. I'm not sure who is telling you that you cant. Just put one in yourself or get the dealer to install one. The boat however is not toast. It is designed to be wet, however you will or should request that all the wiring be changed as well as all the electrical components and guages. The motor looks like it didnt go under the water so I'm sure that the motor itself should be fine. Getting a new onw one will be almost impossible and you will find out real quick just how non friendly the insurance company will be towards you. No offense but they will most likely just fix what needs to be fixed and thats it. I have these locks on all my hatches but will never lock them or leave stuff in there. It is sad to say but when a vagrant comes a knockin and cant get in they tend to do stupid poop like sink a boat. Keep your gear with you, it maybe a pain in the A** but you will find you will sleep better knowing your stuff is with you at all times. I would try to get a new boat but go over it with a fine tooth comb before i would do anything. I would suggest bringing it to another well known dealer before you go back to yours. Get them to go over it and see if anything is wrong. Better get that in writing as well. The dealer you bought it from will for sure try and screw you and hide anything they can as not to incriminate themselves. Make sure you hgo through a Lawyer for everything. DO NOT DO ANYTHING YOURSELF. From the pictures I would say that a pump or something came undone. Tracker boats are very well built but its like anything that is mass produced. It comes with human errors. The intake hoses sometimes are loose and maybe not visable to you but from being knocked around will cause them to malfunction. I go over the boat every weekend for just that stuff. Yes the plug is in correctly. I dont mean to sound like a jerk but that boat shouldnt of been left like that before being water tested for a while. I take mine in and out of the water all the time. I had a similar thing happen to me before and it was due to not going over my boat with a checklist. The dealer and your manual will tell you to always check this stuff at every outing no matter what. Sorry but this is what they will tell you when you go back there. I've made a checklist just for that reason. Email me and I will give it to you. I hope this turns out in the end. I hope you will get a new boat out of it. For gods sake dont let it eat at you. Do what I did and chalk it up as a lesson learned. Whatever you do dont let the insurance company give you the runaround as they will surely do. Let me know how it turnes out. Try and make the best out of a bad situation. EF -
Where do you see that info. I cant find it on their site.

I had the same thing happen to me today. Those little buggers were agressive like crazy . I was catching them on a yozuri pins minnow. Was alot of fun. We weere catching them in 3 -4 ft of water. we were around bewdley and thge river inlet. We got some nice slabs though. Looks like you had an awesome day as well. Little bit on the cold side though.

Wow!!! Good to see you handled it well. Water is mighty cold still. Good thing to keep in mind. I have a very fast hand pump as well as an extra pump hooked in case of emergincies just for that reason. I use the hand pump incase my livewells shut down. Always keep a few extra plugs that fit all the intakes of your boat. You never know when they will come in handy. To many people forget the simple things that can save lives in a crisis. I grew up next to the ocean and have seen first hand what a few non costly safety precautions could have done before it was to late.
