I might be getting a chance to go fishing at Little Esson Lake also known as Cedar Lake. Has anybody fishing there and know what species are in this lake and any tips. I can't really find any information on it. Thanks.

I was wondering if anybody knew of some great spots or websites of ice fishing info for the kawarthas. Want to go there but I would need a hut and accommodation and don't know where to get the info

called them and i am booked. they said the huts are through backwater tackle and apparently according to their website the fishing is in hogg's bay

Yeah I think they wouldn't have ice fishing packages and things if they didnt have somewhere for you to actually fish. Really just looking forward to getting out and ice fish a little and my friend is really excited and wants to try Muskey's Landing.

yeah port severn. on their website it says there is ice fishing i have never been there winter or otherwise but have always wanted to try that place out everytime i drive to parry sound area.

Hey everybody I was thinking about ice fishing with a buddy at Muskey's Landing at the start of february and I have never been there and I was wondering if anybody has fished there and if they had any luck or info on what its like there in general. I've only ice fished a few times in my life and think it would be fun to get out.

I'm heading there in the next few weeks and basically know nothing about the fishing there.

I was going to buy a lightning rod when I saw it on sale too...I knew I should've grabbed it. I know cheap is not usually a good thing but wow I thought with the abu it would've been more stable than that. I've had only minor problems with the ugly sticks. I know I need to invest more into it. Just trying to limit the spending a little bit as I have a second child on the way...well I hope only one more...lol

Hey everyone! Last summer I bought an Abu Garcia Cardinal Series rod/reel combo. The first week I used it the reel wasn't working properly and I ended up having to bring the rest of the line in by hand. I don't have tons of money so I was hoping to find something else that cost around the same. The money I got back from the other one I returned was $75 plus tax. Any ideas on a decent combo for around that price?

oh nothing wrong with 3-5lbs at all....good catch definately. Course those ones were the day pike season opened up.

Has anybody caught anything big at Bellwood Lake in Fergus? I've heard talk about trophy fish in there but all I've ever seen caught there where 1 lb pikes and 3-5 lb bass.

I guess nobody has used these scientific products yet....

at bps I have never seen the black ones so I stopped looking there...lol

yeah my brother and I kept on fishing the one on the left side coming from Hamilton. Drove a few minutes down that dirt/gravel road where people like to throw their garbage. Just fished a few little spots in that area. We've never had a boat in there but have wanted to but getting my dad to lend the boat would be tough. Told my brother last time we should try the other side too and maybe just walk further into the bush and stuff and try and discover more spots.

Yeah I have always wondered if there was good spots around here. It will be so nice to get out and try some of the places.
