    Hey Pete, that sounds like a nice idea, but while you guys are eating dinner, I'll still be fishing after the sun sets ;) Often I've caught my biggest or only musky of the day after dark on the Niagara or lake Erie, especially in clear water conditions.

    No problem RJ, it was a pleasure to have you out. Hopefully we'll get to do it again soon.

     

    Pete, I haven't decided yet, but more than likely the upper/Lake Erie. I can chase steelies and browns all winter, but this will be my last kick at the can for muskies this year. After seeing Dale's last monster, I don't mind spending a day possibly skunked for a chance at a big musky :D

     

    Ok Aaron, I was thining that we could do a G2G after if Ron is coming up to the river. We usually have a bunch of folks that get together for the last weekend of muskie fishing and then go out for a dinner.

  12. Leafs 2010 Predictions

    Leafs will make the 3rd round of the playoffs. They will get rid of Caberle(for a forward) and Wilson(Especially).

     

    Wilson says he does't want to play a defensive style like the other great leaf coaches. Sorry to break it to you Wilson? But defense wins stanley cups. Unless you have an overwhleming offence which is a defence of its own. But the leafs do not have an overwhelming offence. They need defence. You'd think Wilson would have figured this out after not having made the playoffs in how many years?

     

    We have offence, we have defence and now we need a solid checking line. Shouldn't have gotten rid of Ponikarovsky.

     

    I just missed the first 15 minutes of the first period but this year I will be watching the leafs again after many years. Looking forward to a great season.

     

     

    JB you are one hell of a leafs fan my friend. You stick to them like fish crisp on a fillet!! Good one you my misdirected friend.

    Here at Posted Sports, we figure it’s better to get a somewhat clearer view of the picture before prognosticating.

     

    That’s why the first edition of our 2010-11 NHL Rankings is coming to you a little more than a month into the season. We just figure nobody needs to see the Toronto Maple Leafs at No. 4. Cough.

     

    So what have we learned through the first six weeks of the schedule? Well, West is still best and the Maple Leafs, Islanders and Oilers still aren’t very good.

     

    For the rest of the season, look for the Posted Sports NHL Rankings every Monday morning at 9 a.m. ET. And without further ado, your new No. 1:

     

    1. Los Angeles Kings (12-3-0)

    Scarier than their record: Drew Doughty scored his first goal on Saturday vs. NYI.

     

    2. Washington Capitals (12-4-1)

    Offence still unquestionable. Without Varlamov, goaltending still a major issue.

     

    3. Philadelphia Flyers (11-4-2)

    Core locked up after Claude Giroux and Jeff Carter signed extensions this week.

     

    4. Detroit Red Wings (11-3-1)

    Norris at 40? Nicklas Lidstrom has 17 points in 15 games.

     

    5. Vancouver Canucks (10-4-2)

    Gave up nothing to get healthy scratch Keith Ballard and it was still too much.

     

    6. Montreal Canadiens (11-5-1)

    Carey Price currently unfamiliar with the word “pressure.”

    Ryan Getzlaf has seven goals on just 29 shots (24%). He should shoot more.

    Ditto Joe Thornton, who has six goals on 20 shots (30%).

    Sidney Crosby has 12 points in his past five games.

    Can Brandon Dubinsky maintain a hot start for once?

    Strange: Mike Ribeiro averaging near a point per game … with zero goals.

     

    21. Atlanta Thrashers (7-7-3)

    Dustin Byfuglien, Andrew Ladd thriving minus Blackhawks’ all-stars.

    Niklas Backstrom — 2.06 GAA, .930 SV% — back on all-star form.
