Looking good! On the bead head buggers use a shorter more tapered hackle (indian or chinese noodle necks work well), for the bucktails try to get a shorter head like the mickey finn on the bottom and don't cut the bucktail, stack it instead. On the stones try to find a decent hen neck, you'll get the fly a little fuller and it'll move better. As for other patterns, clousers, deceivers, bunny leeches and polar fibre minnows are all easy and they work well.

If I can come I'll have a couple fly reels, a fly combo, some flies, and I'll see what tackle I can scratch together.

Blondie could be pop or could be punk, googling yes and supertramp can come up with five different genres (including pop). As long as we aren't talking about them then yes, all pop can wither and die!

Ok, here's one for you then. What exactly would you classify bands like Supertramp, Yes and Blondie as? Pop can be kind of a vague term, definitely not one I like to use. If you're talking about "pop" from the last 20 years then yes, I agree there isn't anything good.

I don't think there's anything I enjoy more in bass fishing then tossing jerkbaits, I've always used Rapalas (mostly husky's and x-raps) but last year I experimented a bit with storm which was ok but I'm not a fan of the paint jobs, I also played around with some of the Daiwa stuff and was actually quite impressed considering the price of around 5 bucks. But this year I really want to get serious with all of my lures and am looking to stock a decent sized box with higher end stuff. Right now I'm considering the Megabass Vision 110's and Ito Shiners, Luckycraft Pointers and Jackall Squad Minnow, I'm going to check out some of the new Rapala baits once they hit the shelves too. Since I don't have experience with any of these I was just curious what you guys think of them?

Sorry but I still fail to understand why there is any disrespect in calling anyone older than yourself by their first name? It's what everyone else their age or older calls them. It's what their bosses call them. It's what the government calls them. Why are we wasting our time debating titles here? Working retail calling someone sir/ma'am formalizes the relationship right away and doesn't offer a chance to actually have a conversation. When I walk into a store (admittedly I'm not old enough to be called sir, and I wouldn't want to be anyway) I don't want the greeting to be formal, I want the staff to be inviting, like old friends, you would never greet friends as sir would you?

I wanna stock up on stuff when they have the 20% off sale.

I just bought a 10wt setup and shooting head system last week for them, loaded a box of 9-12" flies too. If you're game let me know!

Hey guys, I'm taking a friend out for his first time ice fishing tomorrow, we were thinking Simcoe but do have a couple of other options. The only thing is that he's an older guy and I'll likely be pulling most if not all of the gear. Ideally I'd want to hit up Virginia beach but I haven't been this season and am not sure what the snow conditions are like, if it's anymore then just a dusting I'll probably just hit cooks or a small lake. Any updates are appreciated!

ON THE FLY! OH YA....

Musky on the fly. Sturgeon on the fly (don't ask how, I'm working on it). Roosterfish on the fly. Tuna over 100lbs on the fly. Striped bass over 10lbs on the fly. Golden Dorado on the fly. Hoping to cross off at least a couple this year.

For a conventional lure probably a white spinnerbait with gold willow blades. For a fly an olive bugger.

4" augers are easy to come by, never seen smaller though.
