My sister in-law (Rest in peace) was an amazing fisher and outdoors person. That lady consistently out fished any of us. Then she also new how to clean and cook the fish like no one else I have ever seen! What an amazing 90lb, 5 foot tall outdoors lady she was. Oh man I miss joining in with my brother's and Betty's outdoor adventures. She could field dress a deer or moose and not barely get dirty doing so. I still laugh about the time they got a bull moose. Betty dressed it and they both bragged it to the boat. Brother insisted to put the moose in the boat (12 foot tinny) Betty said it'll float just get it in the water. Nope brother put it in the boat and pushed the boat into the river. Yep the boat sunk with the weight; but the moose popped up to the surface. LOL
Dan...
What a sweat smile!!!!! Reminds me of my granddaughter.
Sounds like you have some awesome memories of her!!! Love the moose story! LOL

This event runs for over 5 weeks starting Sat. Jan. 21, 2023 through Sun. Feb. 26, 2023! We will definitely have ice for the event! There has never been a winter where we haven't had safe ice for perch fishing, not since I've been fishing anyway! If anyone knows of a year, please share...

I do believe that there is almost $10k available in draw prizes fro which you just have to be registered, you don't even have to submit/enter a fish! There is also the 13Fishing Mystery Length Prize Pack which consist of $1,000 worth of 13Fishing, Rapala, VMC & Sufix products! There will also be some more BIG news coming down the pipe! The earlier that you're registered the more prize draws that you're eligible for!

This is a new on-line live release ice fishing tournament that will take place on Lake Simcoe from Sat. Jan. 21-Feb. 26, 2023! This will be facilitated on the FishDonkey app, the world's premier on-line tournament app! There are 2 prize pools, one for the longest perch and one for the greatest length on your best 5 perch! Paybacks listed on the app are based on 200 anglers/registrants and there will be numerous draw prizes for all registered anglers ranging in value from $200 to $600. If we reach that number there should be over 200% payback in cash & prizes and we are adding new sponsors & prizes every day! Part of the proceeds will also go to Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Program!
There is an "Early Bird" draw for anglers registered by 11:59PM Sat. Jan. 14th, 2023 See details attached, please feel free to post any questions! Good luck!

Good to know. I do have plenty of KVD Line and Lure Conditioner. Find it helps immensely with fluorocarbon on my bass setups. Will give it a go on my ice reels.
Yep, I use it all year long!

Once you've had a 2 piece suit you'll never go back. Just so much more comfortable and I've never been cool in my Striker suit! I've had a Climate and am now in an Apex! Honestly the #1 feature for me, being vertically challenged LOL are the adjustable inseams in the bibs! So nice not to be dragging your bibs everywhere!

That was bad enough, but THEY WOULD NOT TELL YOU what date you could actually apply!!!! Bone-headed bureaucrats.....
Exactly, I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong! LOL

Fishing inside a heated hut is ideal! I did find applying some KVD Line & Lure Conditioner to my ice reels when fishing outdoors did reduce that amount of ice buildup and the stiffness!

Painless, yes for sure, once a person could do it.
My beef is they could TELL US on the website that one cannot renew until such and such a date. OR, why not allow a person to renew two months in advance, or three, or ??? It strikes me as bureaucracy of the worst order to deny permission to renew until only a month is left in the card.
Yeah, I ran into that as well! Thought that I would get ahead of the game and register in Nov. but found out that I couldn't! LOL
-
Great reminder! Already renewed mine!

They look sweeeeet!

Be there of be square. It's a great stop for tackle junkies. Dave do you have any of those Arcadia Reef lures left?
Don't believe so! Got so much, I'll actually have to check when I unpack everything there!
