used to go out twice a week but work and a new gf is keeping my pretty busy this season. only been out out 3 times this year and got skunked twice, hoping the next couple of weeks will be better, keeping my fingers crossed

re-heated kfc lately i've been trying to cut down on the weight in my portable so now it's protein bars, cripy minis and gatorade

u made a good choice, versatile flasher by some of the reviews i've read. i would get one if i had the money

it's an ok heater and will heat a small hut, i've used mine in my portable but when it's -20 outside forget it. now i just use my propane latern or stove and i find that they work just as good

i used an old tent couple of times, real pain to set up in the wind. if you're not gonna stay in one spot for more than 3 or 4hrs forget it. three seasons ago i used a hunting blind, set up was 5min even in the wind. it was a little cramped but with a small heater or latern it was very comfortable. now i only use portables, more expensive but way more convenient.

mitchel is supposed to be closed during the ice season so i got no info for u on that. but i fished it several years ago and it was good for bass,small muskie and i assume huge carp that were jumping around at night during the summer. there was supposedley a huge fish kill during the 03/04 winter and i haven't been back since.
