I PUT THE LINK BACK ON - VIDEO OF WOLVES TAKING DOWN CARIBOU

WOW I don't think it is that difficult to understand. maybe I just need to say it slower. In this post I let people know that I had NOW UPLOADED THE VIDEO that I hadn't been able to do before. AND I PLACED A LINK TO THE VIDEO WHICH I HAD PROMISED TO DO IN THE FIRST POST. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry422454 how is that spam?? I DON'T OFFER CARIBOU HUNTS I don't offer hunts of any king. I tried to share a piece of video that is very very unigue. and judging by the number of people that went to look at the video a lot of people here were interested in it. who cares that I put a link to my blog how else can they see the video ACTUALLY I'VE CHANGED MY MIND HERE IS THE LINK TO THE VIDEO http://anglerskingdom.blogspot.com/ MY APOLOGIES TO THE ONES WHO WANTED TO SEE IT EARLIER. I've realized that it doesn't really matter what I post here you guys are going to attack it. and it is pretty obvious why. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry422460 IN THIS POST I SHARED A STORY ABOUT MY SON CATCHING A 40 INCH PIKE AND IT WAS ATTACKED. IRISHFIELD - just because you don't make it clear that you are in business doesn't mean that your not promoting your business. HIGHDRIFTER - thanks I will take your advice and put a link to my sight in my handles - as soon as i figure out how to do that. BUSTER - just read what I've said above very slowly. -

Dr. Salvenius Thanks for your support Sorry they've turned on you. Irishfield I've red you post twice and honestly can't tell what your actually saying. What do you do for a living? highdrifter - sorry that I am not a "long time contributor." Does that mean others are not welcome to share a very unique sighting. I didn't realize that it was "your board" This is not the same as the post in January. I said that I would try to get the video on and I finally did. Sorry that it was not done the way you feel it should be. Not everyone knows that it should be done this way or that way. I thought there were moderators for that. I've put three posts on here this year and I've been attacked twice. There are a lot of people on hear pretending to be something they are not. At least I say who I am. what do you do for a living? Like I said WHY BOTHER -
Hi everyone A few weeks ago I was out ice fishing with my son Hayden on Nungesser Lake. (yes we caught some nice walleye and some big whitefish and had a two really big pike bight us off) We came in the night before, got up had breakfast and headed out to ice fish. As soon as we came around the corner , right behind camp, I saw two black wolves had a Woodland Caribou down. We took some photos and video. We followed the tracks about 6 miles down the lake and the two black wolves had hearded that Caribou all the way down keeping it out of the bush. They went right past the front of the camp- probably about the time we were cooking breakfast. If we had looked out the front window we would have seen them. It would have been awesome to see the fight. I’m sure that Caribou didn’t give up easily Another set of about 40 Caribou trampled another path across the lake and also went right by the front of camp -probably in early morning. The next morning Hayden and I walked about 50 yards from the camp to the back side of our island. We video taped the wolves who had been joined by two grey wolves and one mottled. They weren’t friends and it showed. Plenty of fighting. It took me a while to learn how to run my editing program to shorten the video so it wold be small enough to upload Here is the address to view the video - NO WE DO NOT HUNT CARIBOU. THERE IS NO OPEN SEASON ANYWHERE FOR WOODLAND CARIBOU. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO PROMOTE HUNTING AT MY LODGE, JUST TO SHARE A VERY UNIQUE SIGHTING AND PIECE OF VIDEO. DUE TO THE COMMENTS BELOW FROM A FEW. EVEN THOUGH OVER 100 PEOPLE HAVE GONE AND WATCHED THE VIDEO CLIP AND I'M CERTAIN MANY MORE PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS VIDEO I'VE REMOVED THE LINKS NO I'VE CHANGED MY MIND HERE IS THE LINK http://anglerskingdom.blogspot.com/ It is not for everyone but this is what the wilderness and nature is really about. It wasn’t a good day for the Caribou but it was a very good day for the Wolves. I hope you enjoy KG

BIG PIKE, BIG WALLEYE, BIG MUSKY. THEY ARE ALL GOOD. (NUNGESSER DOESN'T HAVE MUSKY) KG

Hi Fish it Guppy just to clarify there is no road access to Nungesser. there are logging roads near the south side but you cannot access Nungesser by any of those roads. you can onlhy reach the lake by going up the river and crossing a portage. We have a private boardwalk and use atvs to make the 300 yard crossing. Fish It Nungesser actually has an unusual number of very large (46-52 inchers) Pike. There are other remote fly-in lakes with more numbers of 35-40 inch pike but I haven't found a lake with more of the HIgh end pike. And I've fished over 300 lakes all over Canada. When I talk about big pike I am refering to pike over 46 inches. You can Catch Big Pike any time of year. How to fish can be a very long post. What time of year are fishing it? why that time of year? How do you like to fish. Are you stuck on those times and methods or do you just want to catch big Pike? Rule number one. Go where the big pike are this means fish a lake that has big pike. and then fish for big pike - not just for pike. I have a bunch of articles on my website. look in the articles section http://www.anglerskingdom.com/ I have a bunch of reports on the "2009 fishing reports and news" section. http://anglerskingdom.blogspot.com/ lots of stuff on there so look around. talk soon kg

fantastic post congrats looked like a great trip. beautiful fish. thanks much.

I bought 16 of them for my camp boats and only one lasted the season. Hope you have better luck seemed like most of my problem stemmed from water leaking into the chip area when they worked they were awesome and my guest loved them. I will send them in and see what lowrance wants to do If not I will try humminbirds. kg

sorry trying to add the video but can't figure out how. maybe put it on youtube with a link kg

Thanks folks sorry about the signature need to make it smaller somehow.

I forgot about that. He used to even fall asleep at the dinner table (or anywhere else) with his helmut and life vest on. I probably have some pictures of that somewhere.

COOL, NOW THIS IS GETTING TO BE FUN I WONDER WHAT DIRECT SUPERVISION MEANS. CAN I DIRECTLY SUPERVISE HIM FROM ANOTHER BOAT?? HAYDEN WILL BE GETTING A CARD BEFORE SUMMER. ON A LESSER NOTE: I'M SURE HE WILL BE MUCH SAFER HAVING A CARD IN HIS POCKET AT LEAST IF IT IS MADE OF PAPER HE CAN USE IT TO HELP LIGHT A FIRE IN AN EMERGENCY. (EVEN THOUGH HE KNOWS HOW TO WITHOUT PAPER) SORRY BAD SENSE OF HUMOR. PLEASE FORGIVE.

Thanks I think real nature is fascinating. Much of the pleasure I get from fishing is watching and learning what is occuring in nature that causes the fish to be doing whatever they may be doing. I call it Natures calendar and refer to it often. I'm teaching Hayden and Seanna all about it. It is a lifelong pursuit and what I feel the outdoors is all about. As they say it is the journey not to get too philisophical. BESIDES ITS JUST DARN NEAT

I suppose I should find out the answer to all this. thanks for the ideas and interest. and Kudos to Fisher and others for teaching their kids to participate in the outdoors. (and if you need a guide)

Your right, as of september he can no longer drive a boat. even though he knows more than enough to pass the course Not sure what the minimum age is to take the test?? anyone know?? your absolutely right there is no need to wait until he is older to learn how to drive a boat. Of course he is going to be doing it under my supervision at all times. myself, my brother, and my three sisters were all driving boats when we were 4 or 5 years old. of course we were under our parents supervision. we never came anywhere close to 30 mph. don't think I had a rig that fast until I was 30 In an emergency I would be grateful that Hayden could drive me home. I know of an instance where a boy did just that and probably saved his dads life. I would have more confidence in him than half the people I see running around the lakes operators card or not. Hayden always wears his life jacket when the boat is moving even when I am driving. I'd say that 85% of my guests refuse to wear life jackets and half want to sit on the pedestal seat on the casting deck WHILE CRUISING??? he's done 4 years of swimming courses and swims like a fish. I think any one of us could find several thousand photos of people holding fish without a lifejacket on, without any comments on it. Hayden has been in the outdoors since he was 2 weeks old. I'm teaching him all the time. And apparently he's learning. For me this is what it's all about.

Sorry I forgot where I was. Hayden has been operating an outboard since he was 3. He wasn't totally alone in the boat. He had two adults with him. by himself means without direction ie. he knows what he is doing. when he was driving the boat he had a life jacket on so did the passengers so did I so did the people with me. when the boat was stopped and anchored in completely flat water I allowed him to take off his life jacket. So did I , so did my guests, so did haydens guests should know that everything needs to be explained in detail instead of just enjoying a great video. Thanks to those that enjoyed.
