  1. Hey guys,

Yesterday I had alot of time on my hands so I tried dinkering around to make a fly tying vise. It works but isn't the quality you'd find at a store so I'll probably find one a t a store instead of this one. dunno.gif

  2. Well, I've had my boat in the water every month for over a year now. As long as I can find a launch that's partially open, I go for it. I was fishing in january and even february this year because of the crazy winter we had.....all from the boat. Fishing the icefishing season from the boat was kinda cool....and the fishing was great!

I may be the last crazy IQ challenged on the kawartha's with a boat in the water, but I'm not fishing!

It never really ends, if you don't want it too :)

    S.

That reminds me of the episode of facts of fishing where dave launche his boat and breaks through the ice and does circles to break up the ice so he can fish for largies. Looks fun LOL

  3. Hello everyone.

Now that I've been able to do all the basics of fly fishing and catch fish, It feels to me that you just havn't expierenced fly fishing to the fullest without catching trout and " matching the hatch" and such. I'm aware of the steelhead run coming through in september october but looking for something in August as the weather cools down a bit..That being said, over the next month I'm looking to go on a day trip to a trout stream within an hours drive.( I live in york, by Caledonia) If you guys have any suggestions on where a good place to wet a line is it would be greatly appreciated, shoot me a PM if you want. Doesn't matter to me if its brooks browns or bows!
