@BillM smallmouth are hard to catch there now , not much there ever since the gobies came and took over .. And limey angler thanks helped alot too, think it should be fun !
Thanks guys really helped , ill try and get the 3 way swivel if not , ill try and figure something out .. or find a fish filled area on a calm day and vertical jig
Im going up to killbear near parry sound and i only have a canoe , i know they have made a name for themselves for having plenty of lake trout , BUT there deep and im in a canoe , would vertical jigging work?
Never heard of / fished there , but if it's a conservation area you may wanna check the regs . I know some of the other areas and hamilton have some heavy rules
I find they easily bite worms .. Ive always caught them on worms , although ive never tried anything else cause i usually catch them when fishing for other species.
Hey guys , yes i do relize this is my fourth post of the day , but im going away for 3 weeks tommorow and want to get as much info as possible, so has anyone fished raby lake near killbear? Whatchya catch? bait suggestions, spot suggestions? Thanks,
i agree this is my third year , an i think the pike i caught was just along the weeds .. Cant remember aha. also seen a guy pull in a 6 pound smallie !
also for the pike were you fishing in the weeds on the sides of the lake with weedless lures or were you out in the middle.. leaving tommorow for 3 weeks and wanna make the most of my time there lol
have you gotten much pike in raby lake? ive only fished it for an hour when we were leaving and caught a small pike, didnt know if it was a fluke or not..
I fish the shallow 5 foot grand river for walleye using floating rapalas, although im not sure this would work in the lake as they would be deeper. perhaps try to throw jigs or a deep diver down?
Thanks i cover York to cayuga daily trolling.. to cover lots of water. me and my dad hit walleye in the same spot .. so i think next time i drift down the river ill anchor and through some floating rapalas out
