  1. I do both depending on the situation but I'd say I let the bail close automatically most of the time, especially in a cast then retrieve situation (opposed to letting line out for a drop shot, bottom bounce, float, etc). If the reel is of decent quality and in good working condition either shouldn't pose a problem.. its what they are designed to do.

I agree. But its also a "get what ya pay for" scenario.

Most cheap reels the bail will eventually fail.

On better equipment ive never had an issue.

And i know most here hate okuma spinning reels( seems like it anyhow) but i have 4 okuma avengers that i think i paid 45 bucks per reel and they are workhorses, havent had one fail yet and they have a great drag. These are the reels i abuse the crap outta shorefishing lol

  2. Our daughter has been talking about this for days.

Today shes home, and in some chill clothes(spidergurl garb lol)

And she kept saying " our veterans fought for our freedoms!".

    Pretty stoked on that.

  3. I have his email but hes not answering.

He has my number but i cant find his.

I know he was going through some stuff and i just wanna check up or help if i can

Hes not answering my emails( which is his right) but hes a good friend and its not like him to not reply

  4. Old photos are the best! Such a different time, and mentality like you mentioned.

I have a musky photo of my wifes grandpa ill try to find.

All my gramps photos are with my dad.

They had huge stringers. Before the roads were built they biked to spots and had a little tinny. They hammered em on just a hook and minnow

  5. Really charged and JAILED....no trial :rofl2:....Mr.Kane was pretty tip lipped all the way along and his team did not want this to go to trial so they got what they wanted....we will probably never know the whole story now!!!

Well obviously a due process of course.

But thats gnarly to make this crap up and not be held accountable for your actions.

It was the accuser, after all, that didnt want to pursue this any further(why is that?)

Unless mr kane is mafioso lol

  6. Im spending the day with my kids at the local legion and visiting gramps.

I will pour out a beer or two for him?

We have a small tribute at the rrfn war memorial as well.

I think its a great day to pull the kids outta school and teach
