You can't go wrong with any of the offerings out there (Lowrance, Humming bird, Vexilar or Marcum)

Figure out what features you need/want and use that to weed through the various models. Once you have that figured out pick which ever unit tickles your fancy because IMO each one is as good as the other.

K here are a few options:

 

Lake Simcoe- Perch, Pike, Bass, and Whitefish

 

Lake Scugog- Perch, Crappie, Walleye, Muskie, and Bass

 

Rice Lake- Walleye, Bass, and Muskie

I believe Rice lake is closed for ice fishing.

Interested in conditions as well. Also if anyone ice fished Lake Benoir in Bancroft and can provide any tips (not spots) would be great. Will be up there from Dec.31st - Jan.5th. Thanks.

North Pigeon has 3 inches slushed ice - no go.

Fished Cedar lake, about 4 inches.

I'm going to check a few small lakes in Minden tomorrow morning. Got my gear ready, spud bar and will let you know conditions.

....I do. But I don't currently have any blanks for ice rods and I'm up to my eyeballs in musky rods right now. I'd be willing to bet your not wanting them for next winter!

I'm going to try one on this weekend. Will let you know how it is.

Had marcum lx3, than lx5 great units but Lowrance x67C ice machine is way better for me. Like the graph mode a lot.

Been using siglov V for a few seasons as main line and very happy with results. Tried Andy, Raven, Maxima and many others - always went back to V.
