Which line would be best for a beginner to use? Any leaders?

Yeah that's true,angling specialties has minnows form 1 inch to 6 inches. location in markham also.

Mine was about 8 inches,less than a pound and caught on worms at Lake Scugog. LOL

What do people usually catch ice fishing lake simcoe? Perch? Pike?

I was planning on going on family fishing day and I thought minnows were the best for ice fishing.

I started fishing this summer, I think I will be going to Pefferlaw ,lake simcoe.

Anyone try this park? What did you catch there?

First game of the season , missed the NBA. I think Miami will do excellent this year, considering how well they did last year and now they have Chris bosh and the best NBA player Lebron James IMO. I think they will be conference champions, them, orlando or the celtics most likely.

No, it's just that it's one of the closer fishing spots to me. So I can go a few times next year, but I am trying out different spots because I am pretty new to fishing, any information about fishing spots in my area would be greatly appreciated (Mississauga and surrounding areas) The furthest I went to was Lake Scugog so far, but planning to go to Lake simcoe soon for ice fishing in February.

Honestly worms are the only thing I ever caught fish on. And I've actually been using worms for months. I actually was referring to when I went fishing 4 or 5 weeks ago.

Did anyone ever try SouthWest pond (the pond west of Grenadier pond)?

What are the best lures/ baits for this pond? I used worms and a bobber, only caught tiny bluegill.

Not really, he only went 2 times without me, we go together when fishing. I have caught Perch , pumpkinseed, bluegill, sm and lm bass and round gobies. I went salmon and trout fishing a few times but with no luck.

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to fish the credit river, lake simcoe and other lakes in the area such as the Kawarthas, but the Credit is still my main fishing area.

Well, for the winter I'm not going to go ice fishing. So until Spring I will go after bass and steelhead, then pike and others on the summer.
